★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I absolutely love this facility. For starters they are budget friendly, if you get shots they waive the office visit fee! They usually have different options on medications. The Veterinarian techs are phenomenal and so sweet. I have to large dogs who are not dog friendly and one of them are very suspicious around men. With my dogs being so large they gave me the option to bring them in through their side door to their room to be safe. They were able to trim my dogs nails without traumatizing her and this particular dog of mine does not like her feet being touched, she starts to panic usually. They took extra care with my extra large dog who is weary of people and they did not get upset when she peed on them/their floor when she got scared, you can see the guilty look on her face in the picture below. I continuously recommend this office to everyone i know. Their front desk staff are even more amazing. They answer every single one of my ridiculous questions. I highly recommend!
August 18 · Abbi FullerWhat a wonderful place! We had a injured baby woodchuck show up at our house. They let us bring him there so he could get helped out and released. We appreciate you all do there and take care of the furbabies and wildlife. Thank you again for helping us and so many others. ❤️🐶🐈⬛🦫🐾
July 15 · Katie BDr is good what I can’t stand it sitting for hours after my appointment time. The last 3 appointments there were 15 plus animals booked at the same time sat for 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time. I honestly don’t want to go back anymore after 12 years here. These girls have NO idea how to manage a schedule. Guess my dog will go without because I refuse to be treated disrespectfully after being a loyal customer for all these years. And then they act like we’re the problem? I run a whole division by myself and they can’t manage to find anyone working there to be determined and dedicated to make sure things run more smoothly or DON’T book 20 animals at the exact same time? OH that didn’t include us getting skipped 2 dogs cause the new girl didn’t check us on the wall. I just got denied $300 of medication for my dog because they want him to come in. I’m sorry but NO! I literally have PTSD from the amount of hours I have to sit there while my husband and children blow up my phone and I can’t help them because I’m stuck in a chair for up to 3 hours even before the actual appointment because they don’t know how to run an office… I’m tapping out you guys won this battle. I’ll pay extra to actually not feel like I’m in a prison and stuck there for who knows how long, when some of us have jobs we actually work hard to do and don’t have that many hours to waste.
June 03 · Kimberly CadleI've taken my cat to Dr. Reed twice now for dental extractions and now a mass removal. I love this cat to death, so I'm always so nervous whenever he's away from me and has an issue. The staff and Dr. Reed were wonderful! I took him in Saturday for a checkup and vaccines and to talk about the procedures and they got him in just four days later without any fuss. Everything went smoothly and as soon as I brought him home he was right back to his happy, cuddly self with no signs of discomfort nor distress.I live an hour away, but will be coming back for all of my needs- my little guy and I can't thank them enough for all they do.
September 12 · Kaleigh HinkleI have had positive experiences until this last visit I had for my kitty. He was experiencing some behavioral issues such as peeing outside the litter box, etc. so I took him in. They felt his bladder, said it felt fine, and prescribed him Paxil (an SSRI) and gave him a Depo-provera shot, stating that these would help with stress and behavioral issue management. Within days of this, he started to act off. He was lethargic, sitting in the same spot for hours at a time, meowing uncomfortably, and barely going potty. It got to the point where I noticed there was no poop in the litter box, and it had been 3 days since being fully cleaned out. So no bowel movements for 3 days. After 2 emergency vet appointments, 2 x-rays, fluids, enemas, a catheter, laxatives, and $1500 of vet bills racked up, I was told that this all most likely stemmed from the medicines given by Westchester Animal Clinic. This was due to the fact that Dr. Reed prescribed him 4 TIMES the normal dose of the SSRI he was put on. On top of that, the SSRI prescribed (Paxil) is not tolerated well by lots of animals in general compared to any other SSRIs such as Prozac. In addition, I was told that the Depo-provera shot is not commonly given, it’s usually a last resort option for aggressive kitties, and it’s linked to diabetes in overweight cats (my kitty is a bigger boy). He will have to go on a weight management diet from here on out.Overall, everything my kitty has went throughcould’ve been easily prevented by giving the correct dosage of meds, as well as different meds all together. I am frustrated and will not be returning, unfortunately.
