Sale of Live Fish: New Lucky Fish Aquarium & Pet Supply is a primary destination for purchasing a variety of live fish. Customer reviews indicate they sell both common fish (like rummynose tetra) and larger specimens (such as Oscars and catfish). They are noted for having "amazing and beautiful fish" and a "greater" variety compared to some Manhattan stores.

Competitive Pricing on Fish and Supplies: A consistent theme in customer feedback is the store's "low prices" and "reasonable price" points. One reviewer noted that "Virtually everything in this place is half the price in any manhattan fish store," including fish and filtration media. This makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious aquarists in New York.
Assistance and Information: While customer service experiences vary, some reviews suggest that staff are "friendly, quick to help despite being busy, and readily answered all the questions I had." The ability to find "bigger fish for almost half the prices in manhattan" is a significant draw.
Competitive Pricing: The consistently low prices on fish and aquarium supplies are a key feature. This affordability makes it an attractive option for both beginners and experienced aquarists in New York who are looking to manage costs while pursuing their hobby. Manageable Water Parameters (with care): While some customers noted "buggy" nitrate and nitrite levels in the tanks, they also stated that it is "manageable." For experienced aquarists, this implies that with proper acclimation and quarantine procedures (as one successful customer noted), the fish can thrive. This suggests a space for informed hobbyists.
Physical Browse Experience: Unlike online-only retailers, New Lucky Fish Aquarium & Pet Supply offers the opportunity to visually inspect fish before purchase, which is crucial for assessing their health and compatibility, even if some issues are noted.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I bought a batch of 15 rummynose tetra that all died within a day of purchase likely due to being a bad batch and illness since all of my other fish are super healthy. The store was unwilling exchange or refund due to their poor fish health. The prices are low but you get what you pay for which is dead fish
June 24 · Matt WildmanTruthfully it’s a 4.5 but very amazing and beautiful fish some of them aren’t healthy but that’s common among all stores. Definitely come here if you want big fish but remember the price is reasonable and sometimes a little too much but definitely worth it. Coming back for a catfish(which I did but with a Oscar)I should say their nitrate and nitrite levels were buggy but it’s manageable
August 27 · slit steveOne of my favorite aquariums. They bring in new specimens every week, and the quality of the fish is very good. I recommend coming here.
May 21 · CaufmanReasonable prices across selection. Well-taken care of stock from hard working crew. Very attentive. Personable. Fun
