Outdoor Bird Co Reviews
The name is now Backyard Bird and this is a fantastic local shop with all your bird supply needs. Located at Hope Valley Commons between Harris Teeter and Mattie B's, we have been here a few times for bird supplies. We recently bought a pole to keep the squirrels away and Casey has all kinds of great tips and information. We also purchased a handy laminated bird guide that helps you identify birds of the region. The best part about Backyard Bird is the residential cat named Ruby. Casey saved Ruby and she sits atop the counter or parts of the store. Apart from the neat bird supplies, I love visiting just to see Ruby. Support local and check this place out the next time you need bird seed, feeders, or any other supplies for birds.
Aug 06, 2018 · Katharine BayerI love supporting local small businesses, and this one is fantastic! They have a great selection of different feeders, bird baths, and yard accessories, as well as many types of birdseed and suet. The staff person was extremely knowledgeable about all of the products and general birdwatching information that I wouldn't have even known to ask about. He was very helpful and friendly, and made sure we were getting the right products. There's also a friendly cat in the store! Just a really fun shopping experience.
Jan 29, 2019 · Caitlin ClineffWhat a wonderful little shop. Every time I go in there, the same gentleman is there. He is knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, and doesn't try to sell me everything in the store. In fact, he discouraged me from purchasing something that would have ended up being superfluous. I'm happy to continue to support a local business that takes care of its customers. There's always something new and interesting that catches my attention when I go in for seed, too!
Aug 13, 2018 · Victoria MooreCasey and his dog Toby are the nicest folks to deal with. Our birds literally go crazy for the seeds we buy there. There are great items for gifts and the best greeting card assortment.
Nov 09, 2022 · Carmen OlivaresThis is the only bird store I will shop at in the area. There are quite a few close to us, but we really enjoy the selection, prices, and Casey that works there is the best! He always is very helpful with carrying out seed for those who need it. Its also a great place to get gifts and cards for family and friends too! If you are looking for help with your feeder needs or anything bird related, I would strongly suggest the Outdoor Bird Co!
