Based on its designation as a "Puppy Boutique" and direct customer reviews, Petables Puppy Boutique primarily offers the following:
- Puppy Sales: The main focus of the business appears to be the sale of puppies. Customers visit the store specifically to see and potentially acquire puppies.
- Customer Interaction: Staff members engage with customers, providing information about the dogs, answering questions, and facilitating interactions with the puppies.
- Animal Care and Maintenance (as observed by customers): According to one review, the puppies are described as "very well taken care of" and "so sweet." The store itself is noted for being "very clean" with "no pet odor." This positive observation suggests a focus on cleanliness and basic animal husbandry within the visible areas of the store.
However, it is crucial to present a complete picture by including the conflicting account. Another review alleges:
- Questionable Sourcing: Accusations of buying puppies from "puppy mills" are made, though the business's direct sourcing practices are not explicitly detailed in publicly available verified information.
- Pricing Concerns: Claims of "over 100% markup" and asking "over 3-4 thousands dollars for one dog," with prices dropping for "too old" dogs, are mentioned.
- Allegations of Animal Mistreatment: A specific incident is described where a staff member allegedly placed an "8 weeks old and less than a foot long" puppy in front of larger barking dogs, finding it "funny" and describing it as "cruel" and contributing to "neglect and abuse."
The provided customer reviews highlight very different experiences and perceptions regarding Petables Puppy Boutique.
- Positive Customer Experience:
- Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff: One recurring highlight from a positive perspective is the staff's demeanor. They are described as "extremely nice," "very helpful, patient and very knowledgeable." Specific mention is made of two staff members with brightly colored hair who were "the sweetest people," making a positive impact on the customer's visit. They are praised for making the customer feel that "all questions were valid" even if they felt they were "dumb questions."
- Cleanliness and Well-Cared-For Animals: This customer noted the store is "very clean" with "no pet odor" and that "The animals are very clean, and well cared for." This indicates a positive perception of the immediate environment and animal well-being within the store.
- Enjoyable Visit: For this customer, visiting the pet store was their "favorite part of the week" and they "absolutely love this place," which reflects a highly positive overall impression and desire for repeat visits.
- Negative Customer Experience and Allegations:
- Allegations of Puppy Mill Sourcing: A significant concern raised is the accusation that the store "buy puppies from puppy mills." This is a common and serious criticism leveled against pet stores that sell puppies, as puppy mills are often associated with inhumane breeding conditions and health issues in puppies.
- High Prices and Pricing Practices: The review claims "over 100% markup" and prices "over 3-4 thousands dollars for one dog," with prices decreasing for older puppies.
- Specific Allegation of Cruel Behavior: A particularly severe claim involves a staff member allegedly placing a small 8-week-old puppy in front of larger barking dogs for entertainment, described as "cruel" and indicative of "neglect and abuse."
- Calls for Closure: The review concludes with strong statements advocating for the permanent closure of the business due to alleged animal abuse and neglect.
It is important for potential customers to consider both these contrasting perspectives when evaluating Petables Puppy Boutique.

Petables Puppy Boutique Reviews
This is absolutely my favorite place to go in the mall. The staff is extremely nice and the puppies are very well taken care of going into the pet store is my favorite part of the week. I can’t remember their names, but there are two members of the staff with brightly colored hair that are the sweetest people I have ever met. The dogs are taking care of and so sweet they will give you all the information on the dogs, even if you were just curious. I had asked so many dumb questions and they made me feel like it was all valid I have no idea my pet stores get so much hate. I absolutely love this place
Jun 05, 2025 · Rebecca PetrovaThis is probably the worst place to ever exist. They buy puppies from puppy mills and sell them for over 100% markup. They ask for over 3-4 thousands dollars for one dog. Yet when the dog gets too old, they bring the price down since the dog isn’t as admirable anymore. I don’t know why this place is being kept open after many complaints with animal abuse. The worker says, hey watch this, it’s so funny. They take a puppy, this puppy is 8 weeks old and less than a foot long. They decide to take the puppy and put it in front of the bigger ones so that the bigger dogs start barking and scaring the smaller one. I don’t get it, what’s so funny? I honestly find it cruel for this place to even be open, and they should be closed permanently. Let’s stop normalizing pet stores that neglect and abuse their dogs. Shut this place down, seriously!!!!
Apr 12, 2025 · Mariah HudockUpdate (6/6/24): Editing my review to add photos of the puppies, on blankets, that the owner claimed did not exist. Isn't that something! ;)Original Review (over a year ago): The dogs are kept in very small, dirty areas. Observed one of the employees cleaning up pee by wiping it up with the same blanket one of the dogs was laying on rather than actually cleaning it up properly. Very disappointing conditions for animals that deserve much better. After reading some of the extremely unprofessional replies the business owner has posted in response to other reviews, I'm not surprised and I think this says a lot about the business itself. Highly recommend against supporting places like this!
Jun 07, 2024 · Jim RootThis is a picture of our little girl Ellie we recently got from here. She is still adjusting to her new home, but has been an absolute pleasure to have while she settling in. She listens very well and has all the love in the world to give. The staff has been tremendously helpful in our process of integrating her into our home. They all care deeply for the animals and want them to be happy just as much as they want the customers to be happy. The owner went above and beyond to assist us with Ellie even after taking her home. She is an incredibly strong woman and you can see her passion for her career. The staff members all have bonds with the animals and care for them diligently. Thank you all for giving us a friend for life!
Jul 11, 2024 · Joe MMet this puppy today and he was incredibly cute, almost considered purchasing until I saw another adorable dog (I believe he was a bull dog puppy or boxer puppy- unsure) peeing on the floor, their was clearly blood in his urine (visible like he had an awful kidney infection) and then licked it up…… going off the rest of these reviews I can see a passive aggressive reply coming. Cute dogs but sad situation. I would think twice and ADOPT before shopping here. And if you do shop, I wouldn’t do it here. Ps- this dog was $3,500….
