- Customer Service Challenges (Product Safety & Responsiveness): A critical area highlighted by a review pertains to product safety and staff responsiveness. The serious concern about a faulty "Every Way" brand prong collar, which reportedly failed under minimal pressure, raises significant safety questions. The reviewer's experience with "dismissive attitude" from staff (Sarah) and a manager's "vague lip service" ("I’ll pass it on") regarding a public safety issue is a notable point of concern. This indicates a need for enhanced staff training on handling critical customer feedback, especially concerning product safety, and a more robust protocol for escalating such issues to ensure product integrity and customer trust.
- Product Integrity & Vetting: The review brings into question the vetting process for products sold, especially those like training collars for "stronger breeds" where reliability is paramount. The mention of a "mediocre 3.8 rating online" for the specific product suggests a broader issue that merits attention from the retailer.

Apr 08, 2025 · Sharon Clement⚠️ Dangerous Product & Dismissive Staff – A Serious Safety ConcernI nearly lost my German Shepherd today because of a faulty prong collar I purchased from this store just last week. The brand is called Every Way, and it absolutely failed under minimal pressure. With one gentle lunge toward a lizard, the collar snapped off and hit the ground like a piece of cheap jewelry—completely unsecured. Had I not reacted fast, my dog could’ve been seriously hurt or worse. But what made the situation even more upsetting was the staff’s dismissive attitude. When I returned to the store, genuinely concerned and just asking for a refund, I was cut off mid-sentence by the employee Sarah—twice. She told me to "contact the manufacturer" and seemed completely unbothered that they’re still selling a product that could cost someone their pet.I asked for a manager, expecting someone to take it seriously. Instead, I got vague lip service and, “I’ll pass it on.” Sorry, but that’s not good enough. This isn’t just about customer service—it’s about public safety. Prong collars are typically used for stronger breeds who need reliable, secure handling. If a collar fails, a dog could get hit by a car, cause an accident, or worse. That’s not something you just “pass on.”If you're going to be the nation's biggest pet supply retailer, you have a responsibility to ensure the safety and integrity of the products you sell. This one has a mediocre 3.8 rating online for a reason—it’s unreliable and unsafe.I strongly urge others to avoid the Every Way brand and for this store to reconsider stocking it. Safety should never be optional.
Jun 26, 2025 · Wild&FreeIf I could give 0 stars I would. They knowingly sold me sick fish then refused to do anything but refund them- as if that would fix the hundreds I now have to spend to completely overhaul the system and start over because it’s Marine Velvet. They’re also using incorrect protocol to treat them and don’t know anything about keeping saltwater fish.Employees aren’t completely rude, but just retail workers. Nobody knows anything about the care of the animals they’re selling. They regularly sell fish with marine velvet, ich, and other diseases as well as overstocking the display tanks and keeping incompatible species together. No guarantee on saltwater fish means they’ll just sell you whatever and if even a single fish in the system is sick-yours is too, because they all run off the same filtration- so you’ll be out $20+ and dealing with the heartbreak of loss of your new pet and the aftermath of dealing with the disease in your tank. Not to mention the retailer the fish come from before they reach the store is horrendous.
Jan 23, 2024 · JayAmazing selection of betta fish and accessories galore. I went into the store before heading home to Tallahassee, and I fell in love with every part of the entire store! Clean, organized and exceptionally informative identified items on shelves with not just descriptions of what they are but also what they apply to and not to ( i.e. what fish can be housed together, what can't, which habitats accessories are best suited for each species, etc). My only complaint was that I couldn't take everything home with me 🤣
