Petland Blue Springs Reviews
Occasionally I will purchase fish from here. Recently their selection has been unhealthy, we have had rounds of ich or fish that do not thrive. I do start in a medical tank/quarantine tank to give them a chance to be healthy before going into my established tanks. I was going to give them another chance as fish can be finicky.Today was the last time I go in, the customer service was terrible. I knew they were busy so I was patient. I let them know that I had some fish that I had picked out while they were helping the other customer, and did tell them I was ready and she said ok I will right with you. She never came back. They skipped helping me and they started helping other customers and the person I talked to ended up going over to the reptile section so I just left. I had been waiting for over 20 min. It’s not worth the wait for the few healthy fish that may or may not survive. I will take my business elsewhere.
Mar 22, 2025 · Michelle GatlinThis is literally the best pet store ever. The selection of animals is superior to any I've been in and they have tons of puppies. The fact that you can sit in a cubicle and play with any pet you want is super cool. The puppies seem healthy and happy and come with everything you need but are still overpriced in my opinion. There is a good selection of birds and other small animals. Employees are always really nice and helpful and we look forward to coming here every time we're in the area.

Apr 06, 2025 · Ash PI love coming in here to socialize with animals. But I wish they took better care of them. The hamsters have a pretty decent amount of space but anybody is allowed to pick them up and they are terrified bc children squeeze them daily with no repercussions. This causes them to start ramming into walls, biting, and running in circles. The rabbits are in the same size enclosure the hamsters have and there’s usually five in an enclosure that is way too small for bunnies. Some days They aren’t given enough hay and when I was there the water bowl was full of poop and litter. This seems to change based on who is working though, and most days the people working do a much better job, teaching the puppies tricks, walking them. socializing with them and giving the smaller animals. fresh hay and treats. The ferrets have pretty decent space and depending on what employees are working the enclosure stays clean most of the time. The employees play with them when they can and know a lot about them. The puppies enclosures are way too small and one employee said that the people who work with the dogs get paid on commission, idk if this is true but if it is I feel bad because those dogs are super pricey. All the problems this place has are problems with the management of all petland locations, not problems with the employees. The employees here know a lot about the animals and have expressed frustration with the size of enclosures they are forced to keep them in. There is at least one person there that is an expert on whatever animal I’ve asked about and the people who work there are friendly, they give honest advice even if it means they don’t make a sale.wish they were given more control on how the place is run because although most of the people working there are pretty young they know their stuff more than whoever manages the petland chain.TLDR: not great enclosure sizes, kind employees, cute animals that are sometimes not in the best care. But employees are doing their best with what they are legally allowed to do. Expensive dogs though.
Mar 28, 2025 · Emily ColbertSorry I do not usually leave bad reviews but I called this place and at 7:58 I was 1/4 Mile away and asked them if I could grab some crickets. They said yes as long as I get there before the doors are locked. I was pulling into the parking lot and got to the door 15 seconds after hanging upThe door was locked. I knocked as I could see the staff. They ignored me but, They picked up when I called back. I said I just talked to you 15 seconds ago and I am standing here . They said the doors are locked and I can't come in.I realize I was racing the clock which is why i called and askedI work managing a storefront and I would never, ever treat a customer like that.
