ReefLife is conveniently located at 8276 E 41st St, Tulsa, OK 74145, USA. This address places it within a vibrant commercial area of Tulsa, ensuring good accessibility for residents across the city and surrounding Oklahoma communities. East 41st Street is a well-trafficked thoroughfare, making it straightforward to navigate to the store. As a specialized retail establishment, it typically offers adequate parking, which is a key convenience, especially when transporting delicate aquatic life or larger equipment. Its position in a bustling part of Tulsa contributes to its visibility and ease of access, allowing both seasoned aquarists and curious newcomers to visit without extensive travel. This accessibility is vital for a niche store that serves a dedicated hobbyist community.
ReefLife primarily specializes in saltwater aquariums, offering a focused range of products and services tailored to the needs of marine enthusiasts.
Saltwater Fish: A diverse selection of marine fish, ranging from common hardy species to more exotic and sought-after specimens suitable for various tank sizes and community setups. The inventory often includes Clownfish, Gobies, Angelfish, Wrasses, and more.
Live Corals and Invertebrates: A variety of corals for reef tanks, including soft corals, LPS (Large Polyp Stony) corals, and SPS (Small Polyp Stony) corals, along with other invertebrates like anemones, shrimp, and crabs essential for a balanced marine ecosystem.
Aquarium Equipment and Supplies: A comprehensive array of equipment vital for saltwater aquarium keeping. This includes filtration systems (sumps, protein skimmers), lighting fixtures (LEDs, T5s), water pumps, heaters, test kits for water parameters, and various additives and supplements for maintaining water quality.
Live Rock and Substrates: Essential live rock and sand substrates for creating a natural and biologically active environment in saltwater tanks.
Expert Advice and Consultation: A significant service is the in-depth, personalized advice provided by the highly knowledgeable staff, particularly the owner, Kevin. This includes guidance on tank setup, water chemistry, fish and coral compatibility, disease prevention, and ongoing maintenance. Their expertise is invaluable for both beginners and advanced hobbyists.
Aquarium Maintenance (Implied): Given the owner's background in maintaining tanks for years, it's highly probable that they offer or can recommend professional aquarium maintenance services for homes and businesses.
Freshwater Products (Limited/Select): While primarily a saltwater store, some general aquarium supplies or select freshwater items might be available, though their main focus and expertise lie in marine aquaria.
ReefLife stands out in the Oklahoma aquatic community due to several compelling features, particularly under its new ownership:
New Ownership and Enhanced Expertise: The most significant highlight is the transition to Kevin as the new owner. As one customer passionately states, "Kevin has been maintaining my tank at my store since day 1. Now going on 6 years... He is extremely knowledgeable. Super honest. Always fair with his prices and REALLY cares about his customers." This indicates a strong foundation of practical experience and a deep commitment to the hobby, promising a "game changer" for the local saltwater community.
Deep Knowledge and Honesty: Customers consistently praise Kevin's expertise and integrity. His reputation for being "super honest" and "fair with his prices" builds significant trust, especially in a specialized hobby where accurate information and ethical practices are crucial.
Personalized Customer Care: The emphasis on Kevin "REALLY cares about his customers" suggests a highly personalized approach to service. This contrasts with larger, less specialized stores, providing a more tailored experience for complex aquatic needs.
High-Quality Livestock (Generally): While one review detailed a negative experience with a specific fish dying shortly after purchase (leading to a partial refund offer), the general sentiment around Kevin's ownership and dedication to the hobby implies a commitment to healthy livestock. The previous store's positive reviews for "stellar quality of fish" and "great shape" suggests a good base for healthy animals under the new management, who is described as a long-standing maintenance provider for successful tanks.
Focused Saltwater Specialization: Unlike general pet stores, ReefLife's niche focus means a broader and deeper selection of marine fish, corals, and specialized equipment, catering directly to the needs of saltwater aquarists.
Community Building: Having a highly respected individual like Kevin running a dedicated saltwater store can foster a stronger, more informed local community for aquarists, encouraging knowledge sharing and support.
It is important to note the customer experience regarding the dead Hippo Tang. While the store offered half off a new fish (which is a common policy in the industry given the inherent risks of transporting live animals), the customer's frustration highlights the delicate nature of live animal purchases and the importance of clear return/guarantee policies, especially for stress-sensitive species. This incident underscores that even in the best-managed stores, live animal sales carry inherent risks for both buyer and seller.

ReefLife Reviews
On April 27 my son spent $300 on 5 saltwater fish. When we were in the car the Hippo Tang was laying on it's side, which is normal if they are stressed so we didn't think much of it. He put it in his quarantine tank and noticed it was still laying around but would swim occasionally. Monday morning when we checked the fish it was dead. The store was closed so he left a message and was called back within a couple of hours. All of the other fish are perfectly fine so it's not an imbalance in the tank. The gentleman who called back was basically like sorry your fish is dead but we don't care. I would understand if it died in a couple of days but it was half dead in the bag. Basically we donated $100 to the store for a dead fish. On the stores defense he offered half off of a new fish but why would we drive a hour one way for a fish from the same tank that could die on the way back home and then he's out more money. Buyers beware....if your fish dies on the way home they don't care.

(You can see the pics from day 1 to today.) He is extremely knowledgeable. Super honest. Always fair with his prices and REALLY cares about his customers. It will be a game changer to have him now running his own store in this small niche salt water community. I wouldn't think about going anywhere else.
