American Animal Hospital offers a broad and comprehensive array of veterinary services, aiming to be a "one-stop-shop" for virtually all of your pet's healthcare needs. Their commitment to providing the highest standard of care is evident in their diverse offerings:

- Dentistry: Comprehensive dental care, including cleanings, oral exams, full-mouth radiographs, scaling, polishing, probing, and extractions for unhealthy teeth, crucial for overall pet health.
- Surgery: Performing a range of surgical procedures, from routine (like spaying and neutering) to more advanced soft tissue surgeries.
- Emergency Services: Equipped to handle urgent situations and medical emergencies, understanding the critical nature of timely intervention.
- Boarding: Providing safe and comfortable pet boarding facilities for both dogs and cats, with spacious condos, regular walks/litter box scooping, fresh water, and classical music for a calming environment. Specific health requirements (up-to-date vaccines, negative fecal test, current medical exam) are necessary for boarding.
- Microchipping: Offering microchip implantation for permanent pet identification, significantly increasing the chances of reunion if a pet gets lost.
- Pharmacy: An in-house pharmacy for convenient access to necessary medications and specialty foods.
- Laser Therapy: Utilizing therapeutic laser treatments for pain management, inflammation reduction, and accelerated healing.

- End of Life Services: Compassionate care and support during difficult times, including humane options for euthanasia.
- Acupuncture: Offering traditional and holistic treatments like acupuncture for various conditions.
American Animal Hospital distinguishes itself with several notable features and highlights, reflecting its commitment to quality care and customer satisfaction, though it's important to consider all perspectives.
- AAHA Accreditation: The hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), a certification that signifies adherence to the highest standards in veterinary medicine. This means they meet rigorous criteria for facilities, equipment, patient care, and staff education.
- Comprehensive "One-Stop-Shop" Approach: Their wide array of services, from routine wellness to advanced treatments like acupuncture and surgery, means pet owners often don't need referrals to other specialists, simplifying pet care.
- Long-Standing Community Presence: Having served Randolph and surrounding communities since 1978, the hospital has built decades of trust and experience within the New Jersey pet-owning demographic.
- Compassionate and Family-Oriented Atmosphere: The hospital emphasizes a "relaxed, caring, and family-oriented atmosphere," with staff described as "compassionate & friendly," ensuring pets and their owners feel comfortable. They are committed to providing care as though pets were their own.
- Thorough Communication and Transparency: They strive to ensure clients and pets never feel rushed, taking "extra time to build a better understanding of what is happening with your pet and what all your treatment options are." They value "complete honesty and transparency" and walk clients through every step of the treatment plan.
- Focus on Client Education: They offer additional education and resources to clients, empowering pet owners to make informed decisions.
- Accessibility and Convenience: They are available to schedule appointments through text message, and they accept various payment options including CareCredit and Scratchpay for financing.
However, it's also important to address specific feedback regarding their policies, as highlighted by one review:
- Boarding Policy Clarity: A customer expressed dissatisfaction regarding the lack of clear online communication about boarding services being exclusively for pets already "part of the practice" (requiring a comprehensive veterinary exam). While the website now details vaccination and exam requirements for boarding, this specific point about being an "established patient" for boarding might still require direct clarification or more prominent display for new clients.

American Animal Hospital Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The reason I am giving this establishment a one star review, which I very rarely do, is because they do not state on their website that boarding services are only available for dogs who are already part of the practice. One has to have a “comprehensive veterinary exam” to become part of the practice. This could be stated clearly on the website before a persons time is wasted coming all the way over here to find that out. That is poor business practice.

April 21 · Megan McCarthyDr. Passucci is the most compassionate and caring veterinarian I have met. My family has had many dogs over the years and we have been numerous places. No one can compare to the love and care Dr. P gives my baby girl. AAH is also great with emergencies and operations. Highly recommend this place.
April 25 · Luciann Cooke LCSW, LCADCAmerican Animal Hospital recently treated my dog after getting hit by car just out of our vaccination visit. As anguishing as the situation was, I was positively impressed by the immediate assistance, compassion, care, and professionalism given to us during these hard times. I have not enough words to thank all the people that gather together around us to help Lucky. Thank you AAH of Randolph!!!
