Anadarko Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For pet owners in the western Oklahoma region, securing reliable, compassionate, and comprehensive veterinary care is a top priority. **Anadarko Veterinary Clinic**, located in Anadarko, OK, stands out as a local veterinarian practice committed to providing a broad spectrum of services for companion animals, including specialized care that is often hard to find in smaller communities. This clinic offers more than just routine check-ups; it presents itself as a full-service resource for your pet's entire life, from routine preventative care to emergency and end-of-life services.
Understanding the scope of services offered is crucial for Oklahoma residents. Anadarko Veterinary Clinic is categorized as a general **Veterinarian**, but the detailed list of available offerings highlights an advanced commitment to diverse patient needs, including animals that require highly specialized knowledge. This dedication to comprehensive care makes it a cornerstone health provider for the animals in the Anadarko community and surrounding Grady County area.
However, potential clients should note the mixed feedback regarding the clinic's capacity for urgent care and its approach to certain sensitive procedures. While the clinic advertises 24-Hour Urgent Care, a customer review indicates that in a recent emergency, there was a wait of two days to be seen, suggesting potential limitations or variability in their emergency coverage or staffing, and it is crucial to always call ahead. Similarly, feedback regarding the process of **Pet Euthanasia** highlights an approach that some found less compassionate than anticipated, specifically the apparent lack of routine sedation. We strongly advise owners facing this difficult decision to discuss the exact procedure, including pain management and sedation options, with the clinic staff beforehand to ensure it aligns with their expectations for their beloved pet’s final moments. Transparency and clear communication are key in these situations.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- The hours could be improved… :’) maybe hire if needed? I’m not trying to come about or sound harsh.. but I had to wait 2 days to get my animal seen because of it. It was an emergency and I could’ve lost my animal in the meantime.. and the loss itself would’ve broken me. I’m not even sure if this is the place to go considering how they treated my other animal the last time I was here. I wasn’t very fond of the handling care. But this was my only close option and again it was an emergency.. July 27 · am lynnt
- If you’ve made the heartbreaking decision to have your beloved pet euthanized, you should understand what the experience is like at this clinic. We recently had our pup put down there. He suffered from seizures, heart disease and a collapsed trachea and at 13, he was suffering to the point we could no longer bear it. This is one of the only clinics in the area that euthanizes pets so we made an appointment and the whole family wanted to be there for him because he was part of the family, and we wanted to make sure he was surrounded with love at the end. This was the first we’ve ever done anything like this, and in hindsight, I wish I was hold haven’t asked more questions about the procedure. They don’t “put your pet to sleep” - they simply find a vein, physically restrain them, then inject them with a solution that instantly kills them. I expected there to be some degree of sedation involved; there isn’t. The last thing your pet will see isn’t you, it’s the armpit of a veterinary assistant, and the last thing they will feel is anxiousness and pain. I know we made the right decision to end our poor pups suffering, but I’d give anything to do it over again at a clinic has a more compassionate approach to this painful decision. I assumed “sedation” was part of the process, it wasn’t, and I’ll live with the guilt of that for the rest of my days. If this review helps one person avoid the same mistake I made, it will be worth it. You may need to drive further, and spend more, to find a vet that uses sedation as part of the process, but trust me, if you love your pet, it will be worth it. March 21 · Randall Montgomery
- How are you guys going to preform a C section and not stitch up the wound?! Also recommend the owner that no antibiotics or pain meds are needed? If you bring your dogs here make sure Wesley Harlan Boothe doesn’t attend your fur babies, these incompetent veterinarians aren’t looking out for the wellbeing of your fur babies just to make a quick buck. March 30 · Angelica Gomez
- Dr. Boothe took a lot of time to examine our little dog who had not been feeling well for a couple of weeks. He was very gentle and caring with our girl. We appreciate him for his good care. The medicine prescribed should make her feel better soon. December 18 · Patricia Leatherbury
- No compassion. Very rude front desk..even ruder "Country Doctor"If you truly love your animals...do NOT go here.Since this review these so called professionals have brought so much more heartache to families in this community. How it stays open is beyond me. The staff is just as BAD as the "doctor"And I use the term DOCTOR loosely. May 06 · David Parker
