★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We recently had to put our pet down. It never happens during business hours when you need help and we made the call to visit your emergency clinic. The staff was beyond sweet- they take them back and partially sedate them so they are more comfortable. You get to sit with them in a comfortable room until you’re ready for them to do the inevitable. Then you can sit with them as long as you like afterwards as well. Beyond appreciative of how they handled this hard day, along with the nose print we received in the mail a few days later. (We got paw print that evening to take home). The price was really reasonable as well for emergency office. We visited the office back in September for emergency care for this pet and they handled it so great than too with what you could do for her. Just all around really greatful for your staff. This was a way different experience than when I was younger and had to do this for another pet. Thank you guys again! I couldn’t recommend you enough, really did my orka momma justice. Photos so hopefully others see the bragging about great care.
April 03 · Margaret KakertWe had to make 2 trips with our cat. Our first trip, Hanna was so gentle with our very scared cat and explained the course of treatment. Dr. Ruter called with a detailed explanation as to what they found, how they treated, and follow up. She was very knowledgeable and gave amazing explanations. Unfortunately almost 2wks later we had to make the very difficult decision to put our cat to sleep. He had end stage renal disease for almost 3 years and was almost 16yrs old, so it was no fault of the clinic. Our own veterinary office didn’t try to make time for us, but when I called here, they were so compassionate on the phone with me. Melissa was our first contact and she was so gentle and kind. Dr Ream reassured us we made the right decision before euthanasia and was very calm and compassionate. They had a special room for us with a couch and we were able to hold our cat. They never once rushed us. We were given a clay paw print. We asked for some of his fur and that gave it back to us in a cute little box. Today we received a beautiful sympathy card with our cats nose print. For an emergency vet clinic, they went above and beyond during an extremely painful time for us. I will be forever grateful for the compassion they gave to me and my daughter. You’re all angels. Thank you. ❤️🐾
July 29 · Emily ChanceI cannot give this place Enough stars. We had to take one of our dogs in because of another incident where my dog was bit in the face and they took care of her so well and kept us so informed and was very very compassionate. And then last week I had to take my older dog in. They confirmed with my vet that he had right side heart failure. Was 13 years old and I had had him since he was 6 months old he was my baby. They were very compassionate about the end of life ritual for my dog, paw printed a Clay Circle, and were very compassionate when making the decision to put my baby down. And then yesterday I got a note with a paw print stamp and a blank white piece of paper and a card with the rainbow bridge poem❤️
August 28 · Dessie UrnessThank you for Wrigley’s nose print and card. And thank you for your urgency and compassion. You were there when no other vet was on a Friday morning. I may have lost her but you helped me help her. RIH my sweet girl.
July 19 · k MarieI truly cannot say enough good things about AEC and their staff. Almost 2 years ago, I had to take my 16 year old Chihuahua there because she let me know it was time (on a Sunday) for her journey across the Rainbow Bridge. The staff was kind, sympathetic, patient, and so thoughtful during the process. As wonderful as they were, I thought, "Man I hope I never have to come back here." Such a sad memory after all.Well, today I had to return with my 12.5 year old lab who began vomiting non stop just after 1am. Long story short, she was suffering from food bloat after helping herself to a GENEROUS portion of Guinea Pig food. Once again, the staff was incredible. They got me right in for an exam and xrays, came up with a treatment plan, and kept her during the day for monitoring post-procedure. I was able to pick my girl up before bed tonight and I could not be more grateful to AEC and everyone there for the care they showed my girl. They absolutely saved her life.So often, working in veterinary medicine is a thankless job. The hours are long and heartbreaking. People can be rude-and sometimes, just downright awful. Its chaotic and overwhelming. The numbers one and two complaints from clients are ALWAYS cost and wait times. To whom I say: If you're waiting, it's good. It means your baby is stable and CAN wait a bit while more severe cases are taken first. You can't schedule emergencies. Be grateful there is even an emergency option to be seen at all. I don't think my dog would have made it several hours until her clinic opened. So yes, quality care and treatment are worth the wait. As far as cost, I cannot put a price tag on any member of my family and that is what my dog is to us. Yes, emergent care is expensive. To which I say, today was worth every cent! No budget in the world can account for what my dog means to my family. Thank you everyone at AEC!!
