Animal Emergency of Arlington Heights

Emergency veterinarian service ★2.0

This was one of the worst experiences I have had while having to put one of my pets down. The staff that was on call on the morning of December 30th had ZERO compassion, sympathy, empathy for my dog or for my family. They could careless that our family was suffering at the loss of our pet. They were insistant on attempting to take my dying pet away from me to put an IV catheter in, instead of allowing us to stay with him during this. Thankfully, my pet refused to get up and go with the people. We were the only people there and were still there, for over an hour. We waited to finally be moved to the back room for the procedure for approximately 35 minutes. Totally unacceptable. I only gave them 1 star because I did have a very positive experience with the clinic when I had to put my cat down. - T Smith

Animal Emergency of Arlington Heights Introduce

For pet owners in Illinois, the health and well-being of a beloved animal is a constant concern. While regular check-ups with a primary veterinarian are essential, a pet emergency can happen at any time, day or night. In these moments of crisis, a dedicated and reliable emergency clinic is a true lifesaver. Animal Emergency of Arlington Heights is a specialized facility that focuses exclusively on providing urgent and critical care for pets in the Arlington Heights area and surrounding Illinois communities. They understand that a pet emergency is a stressful and emotional experience, and their mission is to provide immediate, professional, and compassionate care when you need it most. Operating around the clock, this clinic ensures that you have a trusted resource available for life's unexpected moments.

Animal Emergency of Arlington Heights has a reputation for being a critical lifeline for pet owners in the region. The clinic's staff and the overall experience have been described as a mix of emotions, as is often the case in emergency situations. While some clients have had difficult experiences, particularly during the heartbreaking process of euthanasia, it's clear that the clinic has also been a source of relief and professional care for many others. One pet owner, who brought their pup in the middle of the night, praised the staff for being "very kind and understanding." They appreciated how the team explained everything clearly and were very helpful. This type of compassionate and informative approach is crucial when you are worried about your pet's health. While the cost of a large, clean, and 24/7 facility may be expensive, clients often state that the price is justified for the peace of mind and the luxury of having round-the-clock care available. This sentiment, that you can't put a price on the health of those you love, underscores the vital role the clinic plays in the community, providing essential services when primary care vets are closed.

The clinic is strategically located at 1195 E Palatine Rd in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This central location in a major suburban area makes it accessible for residents from various parts of Northern Illinois, particularly in the event of an after-hours emergency. The facility is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all visitors during what can be a very difficult time. The building is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and toilet, demonstrating a commitment to serving all members of the community. Inside, the clinic is described as "large and clean," which can help provide a sense of calm during a crisis. The clinic accepts multiple forms of payment, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making the financial transaction as smooth as possible. With its round-the-clock availability, the clinic serves as a crucial hub for emergency care for pet owners when their regular veterinarian's office is closed.
