- Experienced Veterinary Team: With multiple doctors on staff, including Dr. Scott Anderson who has owned the business since 1976, the hospital benefits from extensive experience in various aspects of veterinary medicine. Dr. Schwach is also mentioned by a client.
- Compassionate Support During Difficult Times (Contested): One heartfelt review praises the "incredible group of professionals" for their "compassionate and loving fashion" during the difficult passing of a beloved pet, highlighting a family-like support system. This indicates that for some clients, the emotional support provided during sensitive moments is exceptional.
- Range of Diagnostic and Surgical Capabilities: The clinic offers advanced services such as TPLO surgeries (as mentioned in a review), and uses modern diagnostic tools like X-rays, ultrasound, and endoscopy, which demonstrates their capacity to handle complex medical issues.
- Client Experience Inconsistencies: It is crucial to note the presence of a significantly negative review, which details a misdiagnosis leading to unnecessary stress and a painful experience for a pet. This review criticizes the diagnostic process, perceived lack of thoroughness, and communication regarding a pet's prior medical history and treatment options. This suggests that while some clients experience exceptional care and compassion, others may encounter inconsistencies in diagnosis, communication, and overall service quality. Avenues Pet Hospital Reviews
I can’t give this team enough stars! From reception, billing and of course Dr. Schwach. You are all amazing! 4 TPLO surgeries, various eye and allergy visits and most recently the passing of our beloved Sissy, during this hard time they all represented themselves like family. Thank you
Jan 12, 2024 · Chesley CipollaHello,I wanted to tell Dr. Schwach that on 9/12, I rushed Mollie Dollie in because she was unable to walk on her hind legs. The very young female doctor diagnosed her as being paralyzed, and told me that she needed emergency spine surgery immediately or the paralysis would “spread."It was one of the worst days in my life.I took her to Remedy, and they diagnosed the problem was related to the TPLO implant that Dr. Schawch himself had put in 2 years earlier. It had become terribly infected, and Mollie wasn’t walking because she was in incredible pain. The next day she had surgery to remove the implant. The next day she was already trotting. As you can see below, she is anything but paralyzed, and has fully recovered and is back to her speedy self.I’m angry about how much pain that vet caused both of us. I even told her that Mollie Dollie had TPLO surgery there 2 years prior, but she didn’t even bother to check that implant by X-ray.I want Dr. Schwach to be aware of the level of this doctor who is working there.I have switched vets for Mollie and will not return to Avenues. The number of new Frenchie owners I have referred to you over the last several years is innumerable, as I own a dog grooming business.I won’t be referring any more pup parents to Avenues.
Nov 13, 2024 · Todd AThis place is simply incredible. Everyone is friendly and intelligent. My frenchie is well cared for and while she gets nervous coming here shes starting to develop reasoning that it's not bad at all.The community that also come here are super kind. Avenues is the best.
Dec 09, 2023 · James DeperaltaI hesitate to write this rave review but I must, Avenues is all around the best vet hospital. And with 2 frenchies, we’ve met most every other well regarded vets :)Both front office and back office match the caliber of Schwach. The best!
Mar 07, 2024 · Lauren Bayly HolmbladWe have brought our French bulldog here for five years- he was even born here! The staff are great here. They treat us with compassion and care. They don't overcharge. They're always in communication. They're straight forward. In a tough job, they do an amazing job! We love their team :)
