Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care Reviews
I brought my turquoise GCC (green cheek conure) here for an annual wellness visit. The facilities are clean & well maintained. I appreciate the temperature control & air purifier in the exam rooms. The veterinarian team is awesome! Highly knowledgeable, careful in handling, thorough in examination, and they provided great insight into how my little son was doing. Answered my questions with experienced ease. They'll be our go-to for Cosmo's continued health monitoring & care. Their availability, especially for emergencies, brings me greater peace of mind. Highly recommend bringing your parrot here for checkups & care!

Apr 10, 2025 · Jessica LucusTerrible experience with Avian. I got an accidental male mouse and wanted to get him neutered so he could rejoin my female mice. I took him in for a health exam and not only did they waste my time by making me fill out a questionnaire and take photos of his food and cage but they charged me $100 to tell me what I already knew, that my mouse was male and healthy. The vet spent the whole exam telling me about the dangers of the procedure and made it sound like it would be traumatic for my mouse. Then they printed out an estimate which was priced so outrageously high, (over $1,000) that made it obvious they didn’t want to do the procedure in the first place. I wish that Avian had just been honest and upfront and told me “no” instead of wasting my time and money. Luckily, I kept looking for vets and I found a kind and competent vet who did the procedure, no problem, at a reasonable price. My mouse was running around that same evening as if nothing happened and he recovered just fine. Now he is happily living his best life back with the females. If I had listened to Avian he would’ve been condemned to a life of isolation. I don’t think professionals should say they can do a procedure if they really can’t. And they certainly shouldn’t charge people just to waste their time.
May 24, 2025 · Erika ArnesonAmazing amazing amazing! I have a Budgie who got something stuck in her airway. I called at 8:06. They got me in at 8:45 on a Sunday! New patient. We have never been there before. They flushed her crop and is home recovering now. Way more reasonably priced than Dove Lewis. They are true Exotic vets. Thank you guys so much.
Sep 29, 2024 · Jessica RobinsonOlive had the most wonderful time when she was seen for her first check up. She loved the friendly staff and I was pleased with their handling and patience with us. I was relieved to hear she was in perfect health and grateful for the kind and knowledgeable recommendations they still provided to further improve Ollie's quality of life.We went back a few days later for Olive to get a nanochip. Drop off to pick up was around 5 hours and they made sure she was fully awake and back to her playful self before taking their eyes off her.Pricing was reasonable and they went over everything, including possible charges, beforehand so there were no surprises. Very happy with this vet.
