Back Mountain Veterinary Hospital Reviews
I took my dog to Back Mountain Vet for the first time, and they were excellent! She needed a senior workup and treatment for an ear infection. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable, and my pup left happy and healthy. They even texted me on a holiday with her test results! I’ll be happily bringing the rest of my menagerie here for their vet needs.
Jan 02, 2025 · Alanna BurkeI have taken my pets here for over 30 years. Dr. Phillips has always been there for me and my pet. He gives realistic expectations and offers valuable information. He allows you to make the decision and does not push unnecessary testing.I would highly recommend this clinic.
Aug 27, 2024 · Naomi HardingWe'd gotten a puppy at 9 weeks and wanted to get him established, but we also have a 3 year old with allergies that wed rescued and started realizing shes got allergies. It got to the point she was mouth breathing, and the noises she was making just scared me. So we looked around and I found this vet. In order to make an appointment, you have to pay 60 dollars- So ofc we paid it! I don't care, I'll pay whatever just get my baby in to be seen! She's suffering. They says they could squeeze luna in, but the baby would have to be separate.. Again.. Ok that's fine, however the fee would now be a separate fee @ 60 bucks. Still willing to pay. Just let's make these appointments. The day of Luna's appointment- man that day was straight he'll. I'd been up all night watching her. We had to take her to the hospital which luckily checked her and said its all normal for severe allergies, and because she was already scheduled the next day for an allergy appt at this vet, they sent us home. They said she's just clogged up to go in the bathroom with the hot water on for the steam to help clear the congestion. I woke up late TO LEAVE for this appointment, I called in and explained that I knew we wouldn't be there on time, so they changed the time. Which was nice, and I did appreciate that. The entire ride there, Luna was screaming bloody murder. She normally loves car rides, shes always excited to hop on in and get in her little doggy seat- I'd never heard her like this so I kept pulling over because I didn't know what was going on. She wasnt in her seat, she was on the floor in the back, hiding! Maybe she had to pee, maybe she got an upset belly? I dont know. I just knew those sounds werent normal. So the office calls us, to tell us our appointment is approaching. Are we on the way? They were nice enough to change the time.. I says yes, but somethings wrong I'm freaking out, the lady cuts me off to tell me "ALL I CAN HEAR IS THE DOG IN THE BACKGROUND SCREAMING, CAN YOU QUIET HER UP"Well ma'am, i just tried explaining to you , she's screaming bloody murder. Something is wrong I'm on my way but something is wrong. I'm driving, I have my son with me to help with her but I have to keep pulling over because she's crying screaming so much. She's not that kind of dog. I'm telling you, something is wrong! You could literally hear this ignant of a woman huffing and puffing so she says what time does my GPS say? I told them it was 340 arrival. They said if I showed up at 341, I would not be given time with the dr. But still, I'm not going to ignore my dog for your office. If you dont comprehend I'm telling you something isn't right, than how about you use those money hungry ears to listen. She let me know that they'd be charging for this appointment and a new fee, if i showed up at 341. While my dog was still whining in the back ground, yes yes yes k bye!We got there 340, on the dot-my son ran in, I'm trying to get the screaming animal out of the van hiding under the seat. They wouldn't let us see the dr and tried to reschedule. Lol no thanks.See, in my opinion- if they heard how she sounded on the way, you made note of shushing my baby up so i know you heard her, and they knew she was in distress, why would you, as a so called animal loving establishment turn her away? Even though there was no issue paying. Either way little blessings because we found the valley view vet and they are such angels over there, I highly reccomend to all of you looking into the reviews like i do. You dont have to apologize for my experience as I'll never see any of you ever again, and my dogs care won't be in any shape way or form your responsibility. Luna did-the next day get the care she needed and instead of taking all these tests this dr wanted us to pay for, she was given a chew a day and is as healthy as can be my little furball. I quickly canceled the baby and moved him over as well, I dont reccomend this place. I don't reccomend these people.

Dec 30, 2017 · Cheryl Schmid OsborneI started going to Back Mountain due to an emergency. Back Mountain is one of a few vets in the area that see rabbits and they were able to get me in that week. Dr. Morris was so kind and and caring with my little one. She complimented me on the care I was giving my bunny and the research I did to make sure I was taking care of her correctly. Although Dr. Morris was not able to fix the issue with my bunnies teeth she directed me to the vet she partners with to get the situation fixed. She calmed all the fears and worries I had about this situation and gave me what I needed to take care of my little one until we were able to be seen at the specialist. I am extremely happy with the care and service I get at Back Mountain. Oh and I love that Dr. Morris always has fresh veg treats for my bunny.
