Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I went to Petco first to get my kitten Roxy’s first vaccines. They told me they could not see the kitten because it was sick and would pass shortly, I left confused and a bit upset. I was literally there 10 min. It was the strangest 10 min ever in animal care. The kitten was doing great, eating, playing, she just had watery eyes and was a bit congested. Instead of breaking the news to my kids, I made an appointment online with Banfield. At this point I just wanted the kitten to be okay, and was ready for another demeaning encounter. Expecting the worse, I arrived. The receptionist was very welcoming, and made me feel right at home. (I do not remember her name, which is a disservice, her customer service was excellent.) Roxy was taken in to be examined. Then Dr. Noah David Salzman came out, and he gave me the news that: Roxy was okay! He went over Roxy’s plan in depth, he took time to give me crucial information, listened to concerns; it was a pleasant and warming experience. Last, he gave me his diagnosis, and prescribed Roxy eye rub. Within two days, Roxy eyes were back to normal! and has been great since. I went from a nightmare to excellent service! Every staffmember I encountered here were genuinely nice and caring people.
May 15, 2025 · Daniel Del FernandesSigned up for their Wellness Plan thinking it would be useful for my new puppy. I was wrong! As stated below by other past clients, there is always an upcharge or unforeseen additional fees. I was hoping the Puppy Wellness Plan covers his standard vaccines etc., for some reason they stated he doesn't qualify for it once he is older than 6 months... THEN why was I recommended the plan?! I assumed they considered a puppy until 1 year. The receptionist couldn't even undertand why he was moved to the Active Plan when he still isn't 1 year old yet... Not only that, they are WILLING to give your dog the same vaccine 3-4 times (Within the span of 1 month) if you miss a follow up booster. Imagine getting the same COVID shot over and over again, because you were late a a few days. I have a vaccine history of 4 of the same shots...Cancelling their plan is even more of a nightmare. Did a Google search regarding their Wellness plan and I'm not at all surprised of the overwhelming lawsuits they are experiencing. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

Mar 26, 2025 · Athena SmithUPDATE to my review from 2years ago...Vet/grooming are refusing nail trim service (note that we have been paying their insurance for more than 6 years)Background: after a cardiology test and $1,300 (outside their insurance) my dog was diagnosed with hart murmur 2 year ago and the vet did not provide any solution they just said love your dog as he can die any time 😢.... a year after they send me to the cardiologist again to assess the exact same issued, after I communicated the result and the treat plan they provided I refused to pay the same amount for the cardiologist so they refused any service starting Nov 2024 but the insurance contract was ending on Mar 28 2025; therefore, we have to continue the payments util end of contact but a day after the contract ended, they were calling me to book a comprehensive exam now of course they will be charging full price for the visit.I knew that paying my dog's insurance will be an error since the beginning I knew that when we need the insurance the most something will go wrong and IT DID. do not make my mistake, take care of your pets while they are young and shall be ok. Now UniPet is taking care of my dog, knowing his condition and they are still taking care of him NO INSURANCE, you pay as you need and is more affordable than Benfield.
