★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I'd like to be honest and fair about services and reviews. Unfortunately, we had to put our pet Odie down, and I can't tell you how nice the staff was. And getting us in in an urgent manner of suffering, which was greatly appreciated, and they were wonderful on the final arrangements. However, my biggest concern is a customer and possibly a decision and returning as a customer is our wellness plan. We've been with bamfield for about 3 years, and towards the end, we had to downgrade the plan because we knew this time was coming. However, no one in the staff that renewed our contract or nowhere highlighted. The clause of getting out of the plan. In our event, we got 8 months left of our contract. So we gotta keep pain monthly fees. Because I do read that it are stating. It's not an insurance, it's just a wellness plan. There's a legal loophole there, so we gotta pay for this wellness plan after our pets death. We don't get out of it. Nowhere did any of their staff talk about any of these matters. And that's the biggest disappointment of them all. It really, yeah, takes everything out of me and the kindness. Please don't take it the wrong way. The staff is very nice, but their administration. Wow, that handles their business and contracts look out
August 23 · eric vasquezI couldn’t recommend this place more. Especially after this week. We’ve been taking our dog here for 9 years now. She has been well taken care of the entire time. We had a wellness plan for her and honestly, it was worth every penny. But, the real reason for this 5 star review has to do with what happened this week. Our dog went downhill last Sunday and I knew she was not going to make it through the night. She passed away in her sleep early Monday morning. I was so stressed out not knowing what to do or who to call. I called Banfield right when they opened and the receptionist let me know we could bring her in and discuss cremation. We got there, they took us into this very relaxing room, and we had an extremely kind woman come in and gave us our options. She let me cry and was beyond patient. Amanda, we can’t thank you enough for that. They called me 4 days later and let me know Biscuits ashes were ready to be picked up. I had ordered the cherry wood box and two clay paw prints. When I picked everything up not only was all of that in a beautiful bag, but there were several copies of ink paw prints, a handwritten card and lock of hair from our sweet girl. I am forever grateful for you all.
July 11 · Brenna KuehnerI have had nothing but great experiences with Banfield. They are caring and trustworthy, I appreciate that they are willing to explain the details to us when we don't understand a process during a procedure or break down the billing, etc. They are an awesome team and the lady running this office is an absolute gem! Love this office!
July 22 · ShayOur dog is very happy and healthy due to the staff at des moines location
June 21 · #CMFer AdventuresI am unbelievably upset. My dog goes monthly for librela. I took him in had a couple of concerns. After speaking with doctor not his usual doctor and she is out at this time. My dog was diagnosed with pancritis. We were told treatment was an in hospital stay for 3 to 4 days. Then there was no guarantee that he would live through it. They called around found a place that cost 6000.00 for first 48 hours. I am not wealthy and didn't really know what to do. The doctor told us they would support any decision we made. Not being able to afford hospitalization and not knowing if he would live, but also believing he was in pain. I scheduled an appointment for him to go to heaven. My dog is 17 years old so I didn't want him to suffer. I went home cried for about 15 hours then called another vet. They took him in the next morning. He has a kidney infection which we are treating as well as some other minor issues. They also told me that I needed to change his diet immediately. I have been reporting the same type of food that I feed him for several years and nobody has ever said anything. I am now into 32 hours since seeing a different clinic. He is eating his new food and was given antibiotics and pain medicine. He is walking around not crying or excessively sleeping. He is feeling better he will see his new vet for a follow up Tuesday. I also will say this is not my first bad experience with this banfield clinic 2 years ago I took him in for an eye injury and he was treated for a scratch. The eye continued to get worse took him back he was given antibiotics for his eye. Third day and 3rd visit we were referred to Summit where we were told his could have been saved if we have been there in 48 hours, it was not scratched the lens had come loose and was laying on the cornea. I also am going to address fees. I paid 55.00 dollars for a librela shot at a clinic that I do not have a plan with versus the 88.00 I pay at banfield. I also was given a probiotic that I was charged 2.00 per packet. Purchased from new clinic for 1.00 per pouch.
