Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
Every time I have been to Banfield they are great. Always so helpful listening to my first time dog mom questions, and helping my Boy Charlie get all his shots and everything he needs. 10/10 recommend. They also offer a 24 hr chat system with some of the plans which was very helpful when I had a pet emergency.

Mar 21, 2025 · Kathleen CostaHorrifying Experience –If I hadn’t sought a second opinion, my four-year-old dog wouldn’t be alive today. Banfield Pet Hospital diagnosed him with pancreatitis and took a reactive, ineffective approach—giving him IV fluids and medications day after day, without investigating the underlying cause. From the very first day, they blamed his condition on the home-cooked food we feed him, immediately pushing Royal Canin—a brand owned by their parent company, Mars Corporation. When his condition worsened overnight, their only advice was, “See if he eats and bring him back tomorrow.” No real effort was made to determine why he was so sick. We’re not perfect dog owners—we recognize that he got into some trash, which is likely how he ended up with a foreign object in his intestine. But that’s exactly why we trusted a veterinarian to do their job. A competent vet should have considered all possibilities, not just blindly treated symptoms. Thankfully, we sought a second opinion. The new vet immediately suggested an X-ray, which revealed the obstruction. Emergency surgery removed it, and just like that, the pancreatitis resolved. It’s no surprise that Banfield is owned by Mars, a corporation that profits from feeding Americans highly processed, unhealthy foods. Mars also owns Royal Canin, the “prescription” food Banfield pushed on us—conveniently ignoring the fact that it’s loaded with questionable ingredients. If you have time, take a look at the ingredient list; you’ll find plenty of unrecognizable additives in this so-called “digestive-friendly” food.Banfield Pet Hospital isn’t about pet health—it’s about corporate profits. This review is just the beginning of my efforts to raise awareness about this unethical organization. Pet owners deserve better.
Mar 18, 2025 · RDSpecial thanks to vet, assistant Amanda and Dr. Pierce!!Very friendly with the care of the pet and also the information for the wellness plan and different options. They did a great job explaining all the information clearly.
Apr 27, 2025 · Zak OctavianI had an awful experience, the vet is an absolutely awful and disgusting person. Ego way too big! They do not cooperate with the client at all. The only nice people are the nurses and front desk. Will not be coming back!
