As pet owners in the New York region, finding reliable and compassionate veterinary care is paramount to ensuring the health and happiness of our beloved animal companions. The Binghamton Animal Clinic, located in Johnson City, NY, stands as a dedicated facility committed to providing comprehensive veterinary services for a wide range of pets. This article aims to offer a detailed overview of what makes Binghamton Animal Clinic a noteworthy option for local pet owners, focusing on their services, location, and overall approach to animal welfare.
From routine preventative care to more specialized medical interventions, a good veterinary clinic serves as a cornerstone of responsible pet ownership. Binghamton Animal Clinic strives to be that trusted partner, offering a welcoming environment and a team focused on the well-being of every animal that walks through their doors. While every clinic has its busy moments, and the occasional wait can occur, the comfort of the waiting area and the kindness of the staff contribute to a positive experience, even for pets who might be a bit anxious about their visit. Providing a supportive atmosphere is crucial for both pets and their owners, and it's clear that efforts are made to create a calm and reassuring environment.
It's important for pet owners to feel confident in the care their animals receive, especially during difficult times. While most experiences at a veterinary clinic are positive, situations can arise that cause distress. One such instance, as highlighted by a recent review, involved a significant delay in the cremation process of a beloved pet, causing immense grief and concern for the owner. This particular case brought to light issues of communication and accountability regarding the handling of remains and the transparency of information provided. The clinic’s response, citing payment delays initially and later clarifying the cremation timeline, underscores the critical importance of clear and empathetic communication, particularly when families are navigating the loss of a pet. Such situations, while hopefully rare, serve as a reminder for clinics to continuously review and improve their procedures, especially those involving sensitive end-of-life services, to prevent further emotional distress to grieving pet owners. Ensuring that all promises regarding the handling of a pet's remains are met in a timely and transparent manner is crucial for maintaining trust and providing comfort during a profoundly difficult period.
The clinic acknowledges the importance of accountability and aims to address concerns when they arise. It is evident that the clinic values feedback and strives to improve its services based on client experiences. The commitment to ensuring that pets receive proper care and that pet owners are treated with respect and understanding is an ongoing process for any healthcare provider, including veterinary clinics. Despite individual challenging experiences, the overall goal remains to offer the best possible veterinary care to the community.

Binghamton Animal Clinic Reviews
Went here for my cat's first time vet visit and it went great! Yes the wait was long, but it was very comfortable inside and the staff was very kind! My cat was stressed cuz of all the noises, but was treated very nicely and will be on a helpful diet! I'm very happy with my experience today (she got a little toy!)
Dec 07, 2024 · Riara RossI'd give no stars but it is not allowed. My sweet cat Tommy had to be euthanized on Tuesday March 23, 2025. We paid extra to have him cremated. We were told he would be sent to the crematory Friday morning, March 28, 2025 and that we could pick up his ashes today, April 1, 2025. Today, April 1, 2025 we were told that his body had just been sent to the crematory due to some alleged miscommunication with the crematory and it would be another week before we could pick up his ashes. If this is some sick April Fool's day joke, I AM NOT AMUSED! I find it unbelievable that no one noticed on Friday March 28 that there was still one deceased cat left behind. No one noticed this on Monday, March 31. Yet amazingly today, the day my husband and I were told we could pick up our baby's remains someone finally noticed he wasn't sent when he was suppose to be sent. Amazingly his remains were sent today - and we will be able to pick up the remains in another week. Funny, if he had been sent down on Friday his remains would have been available in 5 days. Because he was allegedly sent down today, it is 7 days. Now I seriously doubt if I will receive his ashes or if any ashes I receive are actually his. I was lied to twice when I was told that I could pick up his remains on Tuesday April 1, 2025. The pain and suffering this has caused me is indescribable. Not only did I lose my beloved cat of 14 years, but now I will never know if (or maybe I should say when) I receive the remains if they are really Tommy's ashes.Rest assured I will NEVER bring an animal to these liars again. I will also strongly recommend that ALL my friends with animals NEVER patronize this place.I paid good money to have my baby cremated. And I was lied to. Now I don't even know if I will ever get HIS ashes or if it will be some other animals ashes. Thanks so much for adding to my grief and pain with your incompetent service. To all who are supporting Binghamton Animal Clinic....here is their response:Good afternoon, we apologize for the delay in getting your beloved Tommy's ashes back to you and your wife. Due to the delay in the payment and when our crematorium comes to pick up, there was a delay in the delivery of Tommy's ashes. We can guarantee that Tommy's ashes, and Tommy's ashes only, will be back on Friday. For the time being, please withhold your phone calls and we will reach out to you on Friday as soon as he is back. Thank you for your understanding.***************Here is when payments were made according to our bank. On 3/25/25, the day he was euthanized, a payment of $247.77 was made. There was a balance of $249.48 for the cremation...which was paid less than 24 hours later on 3/26/25. Tommy was suppose to be sent for cremation on 3/28/25 which if my math is correct is 2 days after the bill was paid in full. So what is this bs about a delay in payment? They were told on 3/25 that the remainder would be paid the very next day which it was. We were told that his body would be sent on 3/28/25 - which it wasn't. They lied. Plain and simple. And what is this please withhold your phone calls? Have they no compassion and empathy for a client who has had to say goodbye to a beloved family member of 14 years who has questions?? You don't even have the decency to call the person and speak to them personally?? You send a very impersonal text message asking them not to call? This is NOT acceptable. As I said before, I highly recommend if you love your pets stay away from these lying cold hearted people. It sure appears to me that their main concern is money and not comforting clients who have just suffered a major loss.
Apr 02, 2025 · Sheila WilliamsAmazing people. Unfortunately my visit wasn't a happy one - it involved saying goodbye to my precious Clement. But the staff at BAC were amazing to work with. They were considerate, informative and I know they did everything they could to help my fur baby. And they gave me the most precious gifts to remember him by. I intend to bring my dog Alphonse to them for vet visits in the future.
Feb 04, 2025 · EthrenToday we had to put our 11 year old pitty down. The staff at BAC where above and beyond amazing. They let us stay with him the entire time. The vet and vet tech showed the level of compassion I would expect for my human loved ones. I can not thank all of them enough for all of the love, compassion and caring.
Oct 13, 2024 · Adam FrancisMy first experience with this hospital was having to put one of my pups to sleep, sadly. The amount of care and compassion they showed was amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure I had the best little pieces of memories of her. I have my babies cremated. Before cremation, they shaved a bit of fur and took a paw print for me. They put the fur in a small forever glass vial with the paw print being in ceramic. It's absolutely amazing.I recently took my senior pup there for a rabies vaccination. I had fired our last vet due to his lack of mannerism and patience. He would rush at my animals, causing them extreme fear with vets. I'll be going here from now on.
