- Vaccinations: Providing essential vaccinations for dogs and cats to protect against common and serious diseases, including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, canine influenza, leptospirosis, bordetella (kennel cough), feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVRCP), and feline leukemia (FeLV). Both 1-year and 3-year options for rabies and distemper may be available depending on your pet's history and state/county laws.

- Heartworm Prevention: Supplying prescription heartworm prevention medications and testing to protect pets from this serious parasitic disease, which is a year-round responsibility.
- Flea & Tick Prevention: Providing prescription flea and tick solutions to protect pets from external parasites and the diseases they can transmit.
- Heartworm & Tick-Borne Disease Testing: Conducting necessary tests to detect heartworm disease and other tick-borne illnesses.
- Fecal Testing: Performing fecal exams to check for intestinal parasites.
- Wellness Examinations: Offering preventive wellness exams as part of their clinic services to assess overall pet health, though these are typically focused on preventative care rather than comprehensive sick visits or advanced diagnostics.
- Pharmacy: Providing a variety of prescriptions for pet needs, including flea & tick and heartworm solutions.
- Affordable & Transparent Pricing: A key highlight of Vetco Vaccination Clinic is its commitment to affordable preventative care. They aim for transparent pricing with "no exam fees" for their clinic services, making essential vaccinations and preventative treatments more accessible to a wider range of New York pet owners.
- Convenient In-Store Location: Operating within Petco stores means the clinics are easily integrated into a pet owner's routine. This co-location simplifies the process of getting necessary preventative care while picking up pet food or supplies.
- Focus on Preventative Care: Vetco specializes in preventative services, including vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention. This focused approach ensures expertise in these crucial areas of pet health, aiming to keep pets healthy and prevent more serious issues down the line.
- Licensed Veterinarians and Professional Staff: Services are provided by state-licensed veterinarians and trained, experienced support staff. The staff are there to manage operations, transactions, and safely restrain pets, allowing the vet to focus on the medical aspects.
- Streamlined Process for Routine Services: While one review mentioned a lengthy wait time and a change in procedure, the intention behind Vetco's model is often to offer an express service for specific preventative needs. The ideal process includes online scheduling, text confirmations, pre-visit intake forms, and an appointment-based model designed to manage traffic.
- Specific Services for Healthy Pets: It's important to note that Vetco Vaccination Clinics are primarily for healthy pets needing routine preventative care. Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
We've had Bodie(Everest) for 9 months now, incredible dog. Healthy, strong and the friendliest pup I've ever seen.
Jan 22, 2024 · Jim DavisJust returned home from there. 5th in line when we arrived at 1030. Used to be go in sign paper get shot. Now they take pic of your dog, take med history, have to wait 1/2 hour for text to go to "Consultation" then go wait in another line to get shot. Went for walk in park and then sat on kitty litter buckets in store . We did not make it to consultation as still waiting for text after an hour. We were tired of waiting so went to front desk and removed our dog from list. They took something that used to be simple and turned it into a fiasco. Won't go back again.
Mar 03, 2019 · Amanda SzczepanskiThe lady with short red hair, sold me a bunch of already dead crickets yesterday and then didn’t even give me 40 like I asked. I didn’t notice until I got home and dumped them in their enclosure but there was only about 25 in there…. So I got over charged and 6 were already dead and I took out 7 more dead’s one today….. called and they said it could be my fault. Even though I literally have a whole habitat just for them.
Oct 02, 2024 · Maddy SwanVetco is a great service for pet owners where getting your pets vaccinated is quick and easy. The techs are friendly and helpful. The vet was nice and gentle with our cat, Amber. The only problem we had was that our line moved slowly but I feel that it's a price you have to pay for affordability. Otherwise, it was a great experience.
Jun 12, 2021 · Allison FreimanStopped by today to get my cat shots and other testings. Everyone was extremely nice and helped my kitty to calm down. I was quite disappointed because online it’s listed under “free animal shots near me” and I winded up spending $84 for her. I was told over the phone it’s at no cost also I talked to the lady who signed me in and told her to sign me up to whatever is free. I went there by 12:25 and didn’t leave till 2:15ish. I was told a 30-45 minute wait and winded up being the last when I was told 6-7 people were ahead of me while there was 3 people behind me waiting. Not sure if they were there first and I haven’t realized but it’s ok. Just pretty upset for being charged when I was told it was all free. Rating 4 stars for the assistance I received today. Very professional and were very sorry for the misunderstanding. I do recommend coming here and also for what I’ve winded up paying I could have paid more at a real vets office.
