BluePearl Pet Hospital Reviews
I've had two bad experiences here. The first was calling and telling the woman who answered, my dogs symptoms, and telling her I was low on cash and being told to bring my animal in anyway. I did, they took the $85ish fee and sent me on my way and said "sorry if we knew you were low on cash, we wouldn't have seen your pet in the first place, and wouldn't have taken your money". This very well could have been a lack of communication, but really sucked. The second was recently. I have a Pomeranian mix, and brought him in after noticing his fur was falling out and his skin was leaking a clear fluid and was very agitated. They treated him and diagnosed it as dermatitis. They were very wrong. It cost me $600 there and a day later had to bring him to another vet, and was told "I see skin infections all day and this is not that." My dog had been bitten by a spider and was suffering from necrosis. Something that for a medical professional should be very easy to spot. The dog suffered unnecessary suffering, and it's now costing me at least $1600 to go in and have all of that dead tissue removed. I'm giving two stars because they did give him appropriate medication, but the diagnosis was way off, and when I called to see if there was any way I could keep him from scratching I was told to take him to another vet. It's ridiculous I spent almost $600 and they can't even answer a question over the phone. This should be a last resort place. They only care about the money. They prescribed 20 gabapentin for $54, and the other vet prescribed 20 for $12. That says it right there.
Jul 16, 2022 · Madeline ClarkThe Vet charged us for treatment that they admitted did not occur. Millie, our lovely whippet, had a laceration on her ear that was bleeding profusely. The Vet explained two options, one being skin glue and bandage with no anesthesia, the other being anesthesia and stitches. The Vet explained that the skin glue doesn't always work, but there was a 50/50 chance of success. We made a risk based decision to forgo the anesthesia (higher risk), and try the skin glue option. Four days later, when the Vet had recommended removing Millie's head bandage, we did. Her ear immediately began to bleed profusely. We took her back to the Vet and they immediately discovered that no skin glue was ever used. We were then given only one option, which was sutures and anesthesia. We went from a 50/50 chance of success to a 0% chance of success with the first treatment because of the overt negligence of the Vet on call. They immediately admitted that the treatment had not been completed as originally intended, yet they made it very clear they had no intention of making it right. We risked ~$600 with 50% chance of success on the first treatment, and ended up spending ~$1,200 after their overt and admitted negligence.Find a different Emergency Vet if you are in need. This place has zero accountability.
Oct 06, 2022 · Devin HunterI take all of my pets to ACCESS and am always met with kindness and great medicine. The staff is professional and compassionate to both me and my animals. When my dog Scout was stung by a wasp they made sure I felt safe and confident leaving him in their care. I can't recommend them enough!
Sep 24, 2020 · Sage FarrowThe doctors and staff at this animal hospital took great care with our dog! We came in with an undiagnosed lump on my dog's chest and they went to great lengths to review her health history, go over our options and give her the best care. She is now happy and healthy thanks to the expertise of Dr. Gomez. Our dog's life was saved by the amazing staff and doctors at this hospital. I would trust all of my pets with their staff. If you need a place that cares, has the best interest of your pet and is fair in cost don't hesitate to visit Animal Critical Care and Emergency Services!
Sep 24, 2020 · Carla GervasoniThis has been an incredibly stressful and scary day, but the staff at Animal Critical Care & Emergency Services really held my hand through it and made sure I knew my dog was in good hands. They were able to diagnose him quickly, get him in for treatment, called me regularly with updates, and actually got him out of the hospital more quickly than expected. I am forever grateful to this staff for the care they showed my angel. He was even smiling when he got home.
