Veterinary Emergency Group Reviews
Couldn't be more pleased with my experience at VEG Edgewater. My kitty Murph had a partial urinary blockage and had been in and out of multiple vet and ER visits over the span of 2 weeks. I decided to bring him here after reading the reviews. From the moment I walked in they treated Murph with the urgency and severity that the situation called for. I didn't have to advocate for his case to be taken seriously because they were immediately on the same page (since it was only a partial blockage, there was a lot of gray area). Dr. Marshall carefully explained the potential causes and treatment options and the cost ranges were provided up front.I was a little startled by the open concept at first, but it ended up being such a blessing. It was awesome to be able to stay with my kitty every step of the way. Any time I had a question they were right there to answer it. The camaraderie of other owners dealing with sick kiddos was also very comforting. They made the clinic feel like home and encouraged me to come and go as often as I wanted, 24/7.I'm very Type A and like to have every piece of information possible, and they were so patient with me. They even taught me how to feel my cats bladder for potential blockages in the future. I felt very empowered here to be part of my cat's care.I would give specific shout outs but truly everyone I worked with was amazing. Thanks for giving my boy so much love and care.
Mar 24, 2025 · Nicole OpalinskiThis is the greatest clinic I’ve ever been to. My dog was here for 3 days and the techs at VEG made sure to keep me updated, allowed 24/7 visitation, and took excellent care of my pup in my absence. They keep such a calm environment for both animals and owners. I was able to bring my laptop and work most of my day from the clinic to keep my dog company so they could focus on new cases coming in. They run this clinic like a fine dining restaurant, swiftly funneling you from one place to the next, giving you a private experience as best they can in a shared emergency room.Everyone complains about the tipping culture these days but this is the first place that SHOULD have asked if I wanted to leave a tip because I WOULD LOVE TO. Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of our pets.
Mar 19, 2025 · madison wachterIf I could give VEG 10 stars, I would! My fur baby, Sully was experiencing frequent vomiting and I was afraid he may have an obstruction. From the moment we arrived, Sully and I were met with kindness and compassion. We were quickly taken to the main room and it only took a few minutes for the vet to come over. Dr. Marshall was out vet and I can’t say enough good things about her. She took the time to sit with us and listen to me as I recapped what was going on with Sully. She was so kind and compassionate. As we were waiting for the X-rays to be ready, every single employee at VEG who passed where were we sitting, said hi and smiled. I can’t tell you how incredible that was, especially during an uneasy time, when you’re not sure what’s wrong with your fur baby.If you need an incredible Emergency vet, I can’t recommend VEG Edgewater enough. They will take amazing care of you and your pet!
Apr 27, 2025 · Kristin YudichakWe had the BEST experience and I cannot thank the entire team at VEG enough for the incredible care they provided to my dog, Tilly. From the moment we walked in, everyone was thoughtful, kind, and thorough, making a very stressful event so much easier.I’d like to especially recognize Dr. Remy Watts for her exceptional care and professionalism. She took the time to walk us through every step of the process, explaining everything clearly and even letting us look under the microscope to review her findings. Her follow-up was outstanding, and she provided an extensive, detailed report for Tilly’s primary vet to ensure a seamless continuation of care. The level of compassion and attention to detail displayed by the entire staff was truly remarkable. I am so grateful to have had Tilly in such capable and caring hands. Thank you for everything!
