- Acupuncture: Utilizing fine needles at specific points on the body, acupuncture is used to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and restore balance, particularly beneficial for musculoskeletal issues, neurological disorders, and chronic conditions.
- Red Light Therapy (Photobiomodulation): This non-invasive therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular function, promote healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and improve circulation. It has shown amazing results for calming anxious animals and aiding recovery.
- Therapeutic Ultrasound: Distinct from diagnostic ultrasound, therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to generate heat and promote healing in deep tissues, reduce swelling, and improve flexibility, often used for muscle and joint conditions.
- Chiropractic Care (VOM - Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation): Focusing on the nervous system and spinal column, chiropractic adjustments can correct misalignments that cause pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall body function.
- Chinese Herbs: Dr. Boswell may prescribe traditional Chinese herbal formulas to address various health imbalances, support organ function, and provide natural therapeutic effects for chronic conditions.
- Applied Kinesiology: A diagnostic and therapeutic tool that assesses muscle function and energy imbalances in the body.
- Bach Flowers: Flower essences used to address emotional and behavioral issues in pets, promoting mental and emotional well-being.
- Clinical Nutrition: Guidance on diet and nutritional supplements to support overall health, manage specific conditions, and enhance the healing process.
- Homeopathy: An alternative medical system that uses highly diluted substances to trigger the body's natural healing process.
- Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM): A therapeutic modality that uses very low-level electrical currents to treat pain and other health conditions by promoting cellular repair and reducing inflammation.

Boswell Elizabeth A DVM Reviews
We started treatment with Dr. Betty with our GSD for his hips. He is very reactive and it was challenging getting him and and settling him down. Dr. Betty suggested some alternative treatments on his brain with red light therapy, ultrasound and some additional modalities. These have been AMAZING for him!! He is calmer at home, and not as anxious. I can't even explain it and really do not need too as long as it works!! I wish we started this years ago when we adopted him. He is happier, we are happier and she is so kind and patient with him, even on those days when he just can't sit still.
Apr 22, 2024 · Stacie RusseauDr. Bosewell bought me 19 months of quality time with my black lab., Sam, after Shively Vet couldn't do anything to help. She knew I was in between commissions, as an artist, yet still worked with me to help out because of my intense love for my dog. Not only is she a doctor with integrity you can trust but she is very good at what she does. Eternally grateful she was there for me! I highly recommend Dr. Bosewell if you are looking for an alternative to VETS slinging drugs and selling expensive surgeries.
Jul 02, 2024 · Forest BooneDr. Boswell, is a wonderful, compassionate, extremely intelligent Holistic Veterinarian! She has treated my Pet, and many friends, with always the same experience! She is so knowledgeable, gentle, and kind! This was definitely her calling, and I cannot say enough good things about her, and the way she heals!! My dog, who stresses very easily around strangers, was relaxed the minute he met her, and once she had her hands on him, he relaxed immediately, and let her do whatever she wanted! She is absolutely amazing, not only as a Vet, but as a person as well!! ❤🐾
