★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Worst vet experience ever! First time there, and I will never go back. I told 3 different people, first the receptionist, then the white haired grouchy lady, and then whoever the woman was that came into the exam room, yes I want to be with my 20-yr old cat that I was having to euthanize! I assumed that this was the vet tech, which has been standard practice at every vet I’ve been to.I have no idea who the woman is that came into the exam room. She never introduced herself, very uncaring, said “did you want exam or are euthanizing today”? Seemed totally unconcerned about what I was saying, then says, “is it ok if I take him back and give him a little bit of gas? It will help him to calm down a little.” At that point, she had picked him up from his carrier and he was meowing and steadily peeing, so I said a little bit of gas would be ok.She says she would be right back I sat in that room, alone for 15-20 minutes, waiting for her to come back in with my cat, so I could at least be holding his paw.She never returned! Finally another lady opens the door, and tells me “you can go ahead and check out at the front, and then pull your vehicle around to the back, and we’ll bring him out to you”. Wait, what? She told me that the vet was finished! I’m in total shock and disbelief at this pointOf course, then I have to wait to pay. It took everything ounce of energy for me to keep my composure but I just couldn’t. Another lady was waiting at the counter, and I said I would never come back!THEN, to add to my misery, I had to sit in my truck and WAIT 20 minutes until the vet tech finally brings him to me! And she says, the vet said sorry, she got confused!Apparently, the woman who came into the exam room and took Buddy back WAS the vet! And she didn’t even have the decency or compassion to apologize to me herself? You are NOT in practice that many years and get confused! She definitely will never put her hands on another one of my babies! May 29 · Pam Serda
- The staff and doctors are great here. They care. Definitely worth the drive from Silsbee. August 21 · Starr Rose Leger
- Nice staff, took very good care of my baby April 17 · Lauren
- They we very sweet with our new puppy. The vet held her and spoke with her. She even hid the shot. Love the welcome bag with samples. December 11 · Margaret Hudman
- Needed nail trimming for our large husky/shepherd mix and they set us up an appointment quickly via email and scheduled us as a walk in and took care of him right away when we arrived. Their prices are exceptional compared to other Vets I have dealt with, with my 2 labs. The one who did the trimming was very nice and patient with our dog. I tried being friendly with the front counter staff while my friend and dog went back. Their response was basically 'we don't know you' and it felt awkward so I just sat quietly. Was glad it went fast. Most places who services animals seem to be more outgoing and friendly. I'm chalking it up to maybe they were busy and didn't have time for chit chat. In any case I rated 5 stars based on the setup time of the appointment, the friendliness of the assistant doing the trimming and the quickness of the service. Being a stranger in Buna I guess people need to get to know you before being cordial? Over all I believe it is a very good place to take your furry loved one and I doubt you could find a better place. Maybe equal, but I would still return to this one if I were here on a permanent basis so we could see if the encounter with staff improved in time. September 22 · Blake “Peace Be Still” Travis
