Apr 22, 2025 · Melinda MillsThis is the second time that we've had to take our dog here in a weeks time - aparently she got into rat poison and aborted her litter, and now shes in critical condition. So we really appreciate the vet and people in this office and the good work they are doing and that they offer the overnight service. We are super grateful for the work they've done to stabilize her. If we had not taken her in, she might not have made it through the night- so we are SO THANKFUL for their help and care. But I do have some complaints.they really could be better about communicating. After an appt at our Our regular vet, she sent us to this vet, and while they took her in immediately, (our first wait was about 3 hours to even get seen) my husband has been sitting in a private waiting room for several hours with no updates, even though they told him they are admitting our dog to watch overnight, they have given him no updates or estimates so he can check out.I did call and the front desk was very nice and apologized, and promised to try and get him updated. Come to find out, the estimates can only be done by the one doctor on call. This feels unnecessary maybe? They could possibly come up with a price sheet, and the doctor could write down what she did on the chart for each patient, and let the people at the front desk work on the estimates? I don't know what the answer is, but it feels like there could be a solution to the estimates, so the doctor who is already working too hard can have help with that.I do understand its an emergency place, and there are life and death things going on, and we do appreciate the staff.
Jun 17, 2025 · G&S YoderI’ve brought several of my cats here for emergencies over the years, and they always do a top-notch job. My most recent visit was in May, and they were very attentive, answering every phone call with detailed answers. They took their time explaining things to me every time, and I was so worried, I called them a lot! They helped me evaluate each scenario to determine if I needed to bring my cat back in, or if he was ok staying at home. Thank you for all you do.
Jun 29, 2025 · Teaghlaigh YoungMy dad’s dog swallowed a huge fish hook today and he rushed her to this emergency vet after his vet couldn’t get it out. He was a little upset at first that they asked him if he had any tools to cut the hook…just thinking that an emergency vet should have that! But thank god he takes his tools everywhere. They got the hook out pretty fast considering how bad it was (it had gone through the inside of her throat) and they were so incredibly kind! They were kind, fast acting, and so informative. I believe he will take her back here if there are complications and not his own vet. Dr. Blair and Mandy are 10/5 stars. Mandy even went out of her way to talk to my dad about fishing just to be conversational. Love them. 💙I want to edit my review and say again how much these people care and do a great job. I hate I had to come back just 4 months later, but our other dog unexpectedly passed away and she passed on the way to the vet. We had them cremate her and for just over $300 we did not expect how nice it would be. I went to pick her ashes up today and couldn’t believe the quality of the wooden box, the leather case her plaster paw print was in, and there are metal name plates on both. Everything came in velvet and satin dust covers. It just felt like they honored her and we are so appreciative. On top of that they were just as kind as before and so…reverent of the loss we were experiencing. Thank you!
Mar 06, 2025 · Caitlynn BarthI came in with my dog who was throwing up slimy blood — obviously terrified and needing help. They told me the wait would be 3–4 hours, and that if I left the room with her, I’d lose my spot. So we stayed… just sitting there, alone in the waiting room, for hours. There was no one else in the lobby for most of that time, just me and my sick, anxious dog. I kept getting told the same thing: the delay was because of all the hospitalized pets they were caring for. I get it — emergencies happen. But if this is the only emergency vet nearby that other vets recommend, they should be better prepared for walk-ins too. Hire more help, manage it better — something. What made it harder was watching people walk in with appointments hours after I’d been there, and be seen within minutes. I felt completely invisible.Every time I asked for an update, I was told something different. “Two ahead of you.” Then an hour later, “Still one ahead.” Then I see another walk-in show up and be told they’ll probably be seen sooner because “a tech can handle it.” It felt like I was being skipped over or just forgotten. My dog didn’t even get taken back until after 4 PM — and we’d been there since before 12:30. The exam was short and we were back in the room quickly… but then we waited another 30 minutes just to hear the same thing the tech had already told me. Then had to wait again to check out.I’m not mad at the staff individually — I know they were doing what they could. But the whole system felt broken. It’s heartbreaking to sit there helpless, watching your pet suffer, and feel like you’re not a priority at all. If this is the go-to emergency clinic in the area, they seriously need to rethink how they handle true emergencies and treat the people walking through their doors.
