Centennial Hills Animal Hospital Reviews
I don't write reviews often but I feel like it's needed especially after my experience Monday. I have seen Dr. Curtis and Dr. Amgar for years. They've known all my dogs from puppies. I had a dog, Elric, who struggled for years with behavioral issues. I am a dog trainer so I worked along side my vets to make sure he had the best quality of life. Unfortunately on Monday, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to do a behavioral euthanasia. It is the hardest decision ever. Normally my visits at the vet are silly, full of jokes....we laugh and smile and my dogs do really well there...but this time it was full of sadness and tears. Dr. Curtis' compassion through the entire process was impeccable. I have never seen a vet care so much. It really eased my heart to know that he cared about my dog as much as I did. He gave us time in the room, didn't rush us and really helped talk me through the entire process. My dog Elric passed calmly and peacefully and with zero fear thanks to Dr. Curtis.Outside of that, every experience I've ever had there with the doctors has been wonderful. I usually try to see Dr. Curtis or Dr. Amgar but if they aren't available, the other doctors ive seen have been great. I have a husky, Awilix, who struggled for over a year with eating and gut issues and Dr. Curtis did EVERYTHING to try and find out why. I was seriously at this place every week with her and they never made me feel like I was crazy for being there so much. I knew something was wrong with my dog. We finally ended up diagnosing with IBD and getting her on the right meds and she's been good since!I have a scared pup named Scylla who is always taken care of , even though she wears a muzzle. She had to have surgery on her head for an infected scar and you'd never even know because Dr.Curtis did such an amazing job. And I have a young pup Ymir who is just a goofy boy and they take great care of him. My senior dog goes for joint checks and such and he's treated like their own.I will never go to another vet. Ive read the other reviews here and can't believe some of the lower scores because I've just never had those issues. Yes, this place is busy. So you WILL wait if you're a walk in. The front desk can sometimes be hectic but ive never been ignored. I'm always acknowledged when I come in.Thank you Dr. Curtis and team for taking care of my fur babies as if they were your own. The amount of caring and compassion your team has shown me over the 14 years I've been going there has been incredible. 🐾🐾
Apr 11, 2025 · MaraJade Sith (MarajadeSith)BLUF: All the staff are competent and respectful. The doctors (there are about 12!) are ALL incredible.Recently, we’ve dealt with Dr Commander and Dr Bailey. But, we’ve seen a couple more and they’re SO GOOD.We’ve also seen some people that came in after waking on the wrong side of the bed and the staff is as respectful as can be. We LOVE that, when we call, they ask if it’s an emergency or can we be put on hold. The care they give to the animals is so good! They’re absolutely spectacular.
May 20, 2025 · Jupiter LostWe absolutely love this place. We have seen several doctors for our cat who has very serious epilepsy. Every time, they listen to her history and current meds list, look at her seizure log, ask what works and doesn't work, and make sure we do our regular bloodwork. They are so kind and caring, and we get follow up calls to check in after a visit. They really care, and are professional, knowledgeable, and kind. It is really reassuring to know that we get thorough and respectful care. It is always very clean and the front desk staff and vet techs are super friendly and efficient.Special shout outs to Drs. Bailey, Hoang, Commander, and O'Donoghue for being awesome. I very highly recommend them. One note, the waiting room is kind of small but has never been an issue for us. If you have a high energy or anxious fur kid just keep them close to avoid disrupting others or getting stressed.
May 20, 2025 · Renee WalkerBest Dr’s ever! Especially Dr. Amgar! I will only see Dr Amgar for my babies, but if he is not available, I have not been disappointed with the others either! Thank you Centennial Hills Animal hospital for always taking good care of all my babies for the last 21 years! ❤️🐶
Jan 29, 2025 · Diana HallI brought my Rottweiler, Reign, in for a walk-in visit, and I was an emotional wreck. From the front office staff to Dr. Reed, everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. They listened to my concerns, ran the necessary tests, and followed up quickly with the results. While there wasn’t much they needed to do directly, they still referred me to a specialist, which I truly appreciated. My girl is a sweetheart, though she can sometimes be reactive to other dogs and men. Despite her breed and temperament, I never once felt like she was being judged or discriminated against. In fact, the team reassured me that she did great in their care and was nothing but sweet. We’re normally patients at Aliante, but they couldn’t see us until Tuesday. I’m so thankful Centennial was able to take us in for an emergency visit and bring some peace of mind. Their compassion and professionalism made all the difference and they’ve definitely earned us as new patients. Thank you again!
