I’ve been bringing my pets to Citrus Park Animal, Bird & Exotics Hospital for 18 years, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Dr. Brooks has cared for my cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, snakes, and lizards — and he always goes above and beyond to figure out what’s going on. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and one of the most dedicated and compassionate vets I’ve ever met. The entire staff treats every animal like their own and puts genuine care into everything they do. Jun 25, 2025 · Gillian DoveOne of the very best Vet practices I have ever used. Going on 9 years now. My wife and I bring all 3 cats there. They genuinely care and fully understand the love their customers have for their pets. The entire staff is very friendly and compassionate! The Vet(Dr. Brooks) always take the time to listen and offer great advice. I don’t know all the names of the staff (as I said, all are great!) but my recent visit today was with Gillian and Glenna. Thank you all for the wonderful care provided to our 3 crazy animals!! Phil/Citrus Park
Jun 09, 2025 · Eagles DoobiesI’m actually astonished that anyone could have anything bad to say about the exotic medical care received at Citrus Park animal Hospital. I have two lizards zora (my Chinese water dragon) and Zion (Rhino iguana). I’ve been taking my exotics there since I got both of them. Dr.Brooks is a natural with them. My Girl Zora has always had issues when she becomes gravid and every time doctor brooks and the amazing techs bring her back to life. They have saved her life at least twice due to this issue and have always treated her like the queen she is. They gendered both of my lizards correctly. Zion can be a sassy boy but they still loved him unconditionally and are the only vet that can Handle him. When I have been given medication for my lizards it has always been described In detail both the medication itself and the procedure of how to administer. I also think the price is fair when it comes to exotic meds, it’s not cheap anywhere and any exotic owner should know that before they take on the responsibility of owning one. With lizards it’s so important for them to feel comfortable. My babies have this with doctor Brooks. I am all the way in Lakeland now and have tried another vet up here that ended in disaster. My babies just aren’t as comfortable with any other vet. Needless to say if they need anything we’re doing the hike to Tampa. From the first time I took my lizard babies there it has been the upmost care received for them. Thank you doctor Brooks and staff for everything you have done for them, and in Zoras case saving her life at least twice🥹.Aside from my exotics I also bring my boy Dante here. My boy is very particular and was a rescue, he was returned to the shelter twice and is not a big fan of most people. LET ME TELL YOU…my jaw dropped at how fast Dr.Brooks and Dante connected he didn’t bite, growl, or react at all when getting examined which was a first. It brought so much peace of mind to me knowing Dante had so much instant trust in him. If any of you are like me if my dog trusts you then I instantly trust you too.Whether it be my furry babies or my scaley babies, I trust Dr. Brooks with them and the whole staff at Citrus Park. They have only treated them with kindness and love. I will only trust my babies with the best, and thats what this clinic is for me and my family.LOVE YOU CITURS PARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!
Feb 08, 2025 · Nicole PeachI have been coming here ever since I was a child, and my mom had ever since she was a teenager. We have brought ferrets, dogs, and birds and always received such great, caring service.Last year, I adopted my first dog on my own, and of course there was no other vet I’d take her to. Not even two months ago, I brought her in to get her annual vaccines when Dr. Brooks noticed some lumps in her mammary glands. It is something that I probably never would have noticed on my own. He walked us through what it could be, as well as what we would have to do to test them. With the probability of it being cancer, and with my financial situation, I was heartbroken and preparing for the worst, but the entire team handled this situation with so much grace and they were extremely understanding and able to work with us.All of her diagnostic tests and surgery were done in just a few weeks without any complications. We got her stitches removed yesterday and I am so so thankful for Dr. Brooks and the entire team here. Sticky has been doing so well, and the cancer was caught before it had the chance to progress. I can’t even explain the relief I feel for getting to have more time with my baby. We owe it all to everyone here for catching it and removing it with such swiftness and care. I could not recommend them enough.
Aug 15, 2024 · Madison InmanWe have been there and gotten great service and treatment but this post isn't about their general operations. My in-law's dogs were lost in the neighborhood, so I stopped in there to check if anyone had any information. They took my number and info about the dogs. After I left and on their own time and at their own accord they checked local neighborhood sites for news about the dogs. They found a post and contacted me immediately. Then got us in contact with the people who found the dogs and they were reunited with our family !!! This was already above and beyond but they then proceeded to check up and ensure we got in touch with the people who found them!!! I've never posted a review in my life, but these people showed kindness towards us as pet owners and obvious concern for the dogs, that is the sort of thing anyone should look for when looking for a vet, couldn't recommend them enough!!
