This facility has been a point of conversation for its diverse range of experiences, showcasing both deeply empathetic care and moments that highlight the complexities of business operations within a caring profession.
Citywide Animal Clinic, like any service provider, is shaped by the interactions it has with its clientele. While some experiences touch upon the transactional aspects of veterinary services, the clinic has undeniably left a profound positive impact on families facing the most difficult of circumstances. As one heartfelt review articulated, when their "best buddy Charlie" needed urgent care for a serious condition, the team from "Matt (who answered the phone) and got me an appointment a.s.a.p to Dr. Braudaway, to the vet tech... they were nothing but professional and courteous." This testament to their immediate responsiveness and professionalism, even when the outcome was sorrowful, speaks volumes about their dedication to patient and client comfort.
The true measure of a veterinary clinic often comes not just in saving lives, but in how they support families through loss. The receipt of a sympathy card days after a pet's passing deeply touched one grieving owner, demonstrating that "Citywide does not only care and show compassion to the animals entrusted to their care but the families who are left to hold precious memories of their fur babies." This emphasis on emotional support alongside medical treatment positions Citywide Animal Clinic as a facility that genuinely understands the profound bond between pets and their Pennsylvania families. While individual experiences may vary, the clinic's capacity for deep empathy and professional care in crucial moments remains a prominent feature.

Based on the provided customer experiences and typical offerings of a comprehensive animal clinic, Citywide Animal Clinic likely offers a range of core veterinary services essential for maintaining the health and well-being of pets. These services commonly include:
Urgent and Emergency Appointments: The clinic demonstrates a clear capacity and willingness to accommodate urgent appointments quickly, as evidenced by Matt "who answered the phone and got me an appointment a.s.a.p" for a pet with sudden inability to bear weight. This responsiveness is critical for Pennsylvania pet owners during health crises.
Medical Consultations and Diagnostics: Dr. Braudaway and the vet tech provided professional and courteous care during a serious medical issue. This suggests the clinic conducts thorough examinations, utilizes diagnostic tools to understand underlying conditions, and develops treatment plans.
Compassionate End-of-Life Care: A significant service highlighted is their sensitive approach to pet euthanasia. The team, including Dr. Braudaway, supported the grieving owner, making a difficult process as empathetic as possible.
Grief Support for Pet Owners: Beyond the medical aspect of euthanasia, Citywide Animal Clinic extends its compassion to the families by sending sympathy cards. This gesture of care and remembrance helps owners cope with their loss and reinforces the clinic's understanding of the human-animal bond.
Routine Wellness Care (Implied): While not explicitly detailed, a general veterinary clinic typically offers services such as vaccinations, routine check-ups, and parasite prevention, which are fundamental to ongoing pet health. The mention of providing "shots" for a puppy suggests standard preventative care is available.
Surgical Services (Implied): While a specific surgical event was not detailed in positive reviews, the context of "getting the mother fixed" (spayed) suggests that surgical services, at least routine ones, are offered.
Pet Registry/Paperwork Support (Implied): The mention of registering with AKC hints that the clinic might provide guidance or assistance with pet-related paperwork, though this is not a direct veterinary medical service.
---
Exceptional Compassion and Empathy for Grieving Families: A paramount highlight is the clinic's profound understanding and support for pet owners experiencing loss. The sympathy card sent after a pet's passing deeply touched a customer, demonstrating a holistic approach to care that extends beyond the animal's physical health to the emotional well-being of the family. This genuine care for "the families who are left to hold precious memories" is a significant feature for New York residents.
Responsive and Efficient Urgent Care: The clinic's ability to schedule an "appointment a.s.a.p" for a critical case demonstrates their readiness and efficiency in handling urgent medical needs, providing crucial timely intervention for pets in distress.
Professional and Courteous Staff: From the front desk (Matt) to the veterinarians (Dr. Braudaway) and vet techs, the team is consistently described as "nothing but professional and courteous," ensuring a respectful and well-managed experience for clients.
Understanding of the Human-Animal Bond: The clinic's gestures of compassion, particularly during end-of-life care and grief, underscore their deep appreciation for the bond between pets and their human companions. They understand that pets are "fur babies" and beloved family members.
Dedicated Veterinarians (Dr. Braudaway): Dr. Braudaway is noted for her professional and compassionate demeanor during challenging medical situations, instilling confidence and comfort in pet owners.
Focus on Animal Welfare: While a specific contentious interaction regarding pricing and a free puppy donation occurred, the initial intention of the offer by a vet to take a puppy suggests a concern for finding good homes for animals, even if the financial arrangement became a point of contention for one customer.

Citywide Animal Clinic Reviews
I would not use them ever again. My dog had puppies i had found homes for all but the last girl. The vet said she would love to take her home. Being a animal lover and thinking what better home could the pup have than with a vet. I gave the vet the pup. I asked if she could trade the pup for getting the mother fixed she said no. Ok how about a discount again no. Because she does not own the practice. But she received the puppy for free. While I had to pay for the shots, food, register with akc, and pay for advertising. It seems that out of the two of us one is more concerned about making money than the animals. They also made sure to put in the medical records that I chose to change vets due to lack of discount. In a attempt to paint me in a bad light. I sold every pup from that litter and could of sold her too in order to pay for the mother to get fixed. I did not ask the vet to take her she asked me for the pup and put on a whole thing about how it was her birthday. I have no doubt that the pup is living a good life with her which is why I allowed her to keep the pup. She could have at least reimburse me for the shots I paid for at her clinic. I have 4 dogs 2 cats. It would have been wiser to keep me happy and as a customer. I didn't want something for nothing they did and got it and I got the bill.
Mar 11, 2025 · Marcel GeslickiRecently I had to take my best buddy Charlie to citywide animal clinic because of his inability to bear weight on his back paws. From Matt (who answered the phone) and got me an appointment a.s.a.p to Dr. Braudaway, to the vet tech ( who's name i did not get or remember) they were nothing but professional and courteous. Unfortunately the outcome was not good. As I continued to grieve 2 days later I received a sympathy card from the facility which made me feel somewhat better. Citywide does not only care and show compassion to the animals entrusted to their care but the families who are left to hold precious memories of their fur babies.Thank you,Marsha Junz

Jun 20, 2025 · Joustin SandovalVery respectful staff... And very reasonable pricing. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family!
Mar 17, 2025 · ChrisWe took our dog Ranger to the clinic. He was very ill and getting ready to die. The Doctor checked him and found he was in trouble. Heart racing, trouble breathing and everything else. She gave us options but told us we could decide what to do. But she felt that he was not going to get better. He was suffering. We knew the time was coming because he wasn't himself. We put him to rest. They were so kind to us while we cried and spent some time with Ranger to say Goodbye. They sent us a sympathy card with Ranger's footprint on it. I cried and put it in our Bible to save.
