Clay County Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in Celina and the picturesque region around Dale Hollow Lake, finding reliable and compassionate veterinary care is a top priority, especially when unexpected emergencies arise. Clay County Animal Hospital stands as a crucial resource in this community, providing a range of services from routine wellness checks to urgent medical care. This animal hospital is known for its professional and caring staff who go above and beyond, offering a sense of security and peace of mind to local residents and visitors alike. When an emergency strikes, you need a team you can trust, and for many in the area, Clay County Animal Hospital is that trusted partner.
The hospital's reputation is built on a foundation of compassionate care, a fact powerfully illustrated by a customer's review of a near-drowning incident involving their beloved dachshund, Ziggy. During a stressful time, the team took the dog in "right away, providing immediate and compassionate care." This level of responsiveness is a testament to the staff’s dedication. The owner was "forever grateful" to Dr. Lindsey and vet tech Jenny, who were described as both "professional and reassuring." This compassionate and expert handling of a stressful situation is a major highlight. While the hospital is not a 24/7 facility, their willingness to keep Ziggy overnight for monitoring shows a level of commitment that is rare and invaluable. The review also notes the "very reasonable" cost of the emergency visit, demonstrating their effort to provide high-quality care without an exorbitant price tag.
However, it's worth noting that the clinic's reviews also present a more mixed picture of the client experience. While the professional care is highly praised, a customer's review points to some challenges with the clinic's operational flow and front desk staff. The review mentions a long wait time despite having an appointment, and a feeling of being "stressed out" by "loud kids" and "pushy" staff. This feedback suggests that while the medical side of the clinic is exceptional, the front office experience may at times be less than ideal. For many, the exceptional care provided by the veterinarians, such as "the Veteran she is very very smart and takes time to explain everything," is enough to overcome these challenges, but it's a factor to consider for those who prioritize a smooth and stress-free appointment process.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1While on a camping trip at Dale Hollow Lake, our beloved Dachshund, Ziggy, suffered a near-drowning incident while we were setting up camp. Thankfully, Clay County Animal Hospital was open, and they took Ziggy in right away, providing immediate and compassionate care. Although they aren't a 24/7 facility, they kindly offered to keep Ziggy overnight to monitor him. We are forever grateful to the entire staff. Dr. Lindsey and vet tech Jenny were wonderful—both professional and reassuring during a very stressful time. We've had several emergency vet visits over the years, and this experience was top-notch. When all was said and done, the cost was very reasonable as well. We can't thank the team at Clay County Animal Hospital enough for saving Ziggy and giving us peace of mind. Highly recommended!
October 07 · Roger MaybrierI absolutely loved the Veteran she is very very smart and takes time to explain everything. Now,afar as the rest of the staff I give 1 star! There’s kids loud kids! Running around stressing ppl out! The one woman upfront is extremely pushy! She never ask ifff you need this? She just grabs it and puts on your bill.It really doesn’t matter if you have an appointment, your Waite is forever!!!!! It really sucks I like the vet so much because everything else keeps me from going anymore.
August 07 · Elizabeth ReeceI brought my German Shepherd in there for the first time to be sprayed and I am very impressed with how well it went. I wanted to pick a smaller vet because my girl can be a bit aggressive with other dogs and cats. She felt so comfortable with them that my girl didn’t even worry about her surroundings and that made a world of difference. You couldn’t ask for a better small town veterinary.
April 22 · Lisa KawpunnaI had a wonderful experience with the staff here. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The vet was wonderful with my lamb and helped me with how to administer the medication she was giving him. With her guidance I was able to even give him the shots he needed because she showed me how before I left. She was very kind and helpful. I would not hesitate to take another animal to her. I am going to be taking my dog to her soon for shots and grooming.
May 12 · Rhonda MeadowsWonderful, super nice people. Got my pup spayed there today and felt confident walking out she was in good hands.
