Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services Introduce
For many pet owners in Virginia, the thought of taking their beloved companion to a traditional veterinary clinic can be a source of significant stress, both for the animal and for themselves. This is especially true for pets who experience anxiety in new environments, struggle with car rides, or have health conditions that make travel difficult. Fortunately, for residents in Amissville and across Northern Virginia, Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services offers a compassionate and convenient alternative: high-quality veterinary care delivered right to your doorstep.
Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services is designed to alleviate the common anxieties associated with vet visits by providing professional, thorough care in the familiar and comfortable environment of your home. This approach not only reduces stress for pets but also offers unparalleled convenience for busy Virginia families, multi-pet households, or those with limited mobility. Their dedication to creating a calm and personalized experience for every animal sets them apart, fostering a stronger bond between pets, owners, and their veterinary team.
The benefits of a mobile veterinary service are particularly evident in the heartfelt testimonials from their satisfied clients. One grateful pet owner shared their experience after their cat, Rankine, underwent FIP treatment: “We found this vet after one of our kitties, Rankine, successfully went through FIP treatment in early 2023. I wanted to avoid any extra stress for Rankine and our other cats, who (all but one) need gabapentin every time they have to go to the vet. We love Dr Foster and Dave. They are friendly, thorough and address all of our concerns and have great follow up. We have them complete our annual wellness visits (and vaccinations) for our 4 cats. We don't have to drug any of them before the visit and they don't have to leave their home.” This powerful endorsement highlights the immense value of stress-free, in-home care, especially for animals with specific medical histories or anxieties.
Another poignant review speaks to the exceptional compassion provided during the most difficult of times. When faced with the decision of in-home euthanasia for their 22-year-old cat, Lula, who was suffering and had recently lost her companion, traditional clinics could not provide timely assistance. “We called Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services and left a message. They returned the call and were very kind and helpful. Upon arrival the care, understanding, demeanor, and patience, was WONDERFUL! The procedure was easy, caring, and our Lula purred as she went to sleep. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veterinary service. A++” This testimonial profoundly illustrates their commitment to providing peaceful and dignified end-of-life care, a service that offers immense comfort to grieving Virginia pet owners.
Dr. Foster, who co-founded Companion Paws Mobile Veterinary Service, Inc., brings extensive experience to her practice. Having graduated from Virginia Tech in 1984 and completing her veterinary medical degree at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, she has been in general practice in Northern Virginia since 1989. Her vision was to create a practice that addresses a growing need for convenience and quality care without compromising the personal touch of a "country veterinarian." This blend of professional expertise and a client-focused approach forms the bedrock of Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services, making it an ideal choice for pet owners across Virginia.
Location and Accessibility
Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services is based out of 4090 Waterfowl Ln, Amissville, VA 20106, USA. However, as a mobile veterinary service, their true "location" is defined by their extensive service area across Northern Virginia. This means that instead of pet owners traveling to a physical clinic, Dr. Foster and her team bring the veterinary office directly to your home.
Their service area encompasses significant portions of Northern Virginia, including sections of Reston, Herndon, Great Falls, Oakton, Vienna, Sterling, Ashburn, Chantilly, South Riding, Centreville, Manassas, Gainesville, and Haymarket. For multi-pet households, or those with pets that become highly stressed by car travel or clinic environments, the at-home model offers unparalleled convenience and significantly reduces stress for both animals and their owners.
The home visit model also allows the veterinary team to observe pets in their natural environment, which can sometimes provide valuable insights into behavioral or health concerns that might not be apparent in a clinical setting. For Virginia pet owners, the accessibility provided by Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services means that high-quality, personalized care is just a phone call away, delivered with minimal disruption to their daily lives and maximum comfort for their beloved companions.

Jun 25, 2025 · TheBarnes FamilyWe had a 22 year old cat who's sister was the same age and had been lifetime companions. A week prior, the sister cat had died.By herself, our sweet "Lula" was also suffering from old age, had extreme difficulty walking and had a fungal infection. She was now alone and my wife and I spend many hours trying to comfort her. Within a couple of days, she stopped pooping, limited urinating, didn't want water and would only eat a little baby food. We knew she was unhappy and wanted to avoid a crisis. We called out local vet, Clevenger's Corner Veterinary Hospital and they would not be able to assist us with an in-home euthanasia for over a week's time.We called Companion Paws Mobile Vet Services and left a message. They returned the call and were very kind and helpful. Upon arrival the care, understanding, demeanor, and patience, was WONDERFUL! The procedure was easy, caring, and our Lula purred as she went to sleep. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this veterinary service. A++
Feb 20, 2023 · Chris AycockDr. Foster and David were a godsend for me. My 20 year cat Sassy had seizures and could no longer travel by crate for appointments. I was out of their service range but they fit me in to their schedule to do an exam and bloodwork in April to be able to continue Phenibarbitol. They came again in September when it was time to say goodbye and were very compassionate and understanding. Highly recommend them.
