Coronado M DVM Reviews
This vet is an older native Spanish speaker. Marco has a thick accent at times but is very knowledgeable. He truly cares for the animals and treats them better than the humans. His prices are consistently lower than any of the other clinic I have taken my animals. He is a full service country vet who runs a little short on aesthetics. I have been taking my animals here for over a decade. I would highly recommend this practice if you aren't put off by the lack of refinement. It's best to call ahead on the weekends to make sure he is around.
Jun 22, 2019 · Matthew LashombExcellent doctor. He saved my dogs life..brought him back from the brink while suffering from GDV. Highly capable and talented dr. His prices are excellent. I will always bring my pets here. I have used his pet services on and off since 1997.
Apr 16, 2019 · Le HI’ve been going to dr Coronado for about 8 years I have referred friends/family to him. My dog opel broke her hip as a puppy I didn’t have an extra 9000/10,000 laying around to “possibly” repair it with the chance of it ending in an amputation anyways. I came out of a different vet office crying carrying my puppy devastated a woman handed me a card with his name and phone number and told me to call.He had me come that same day, he didn’t speak great English but he was very compassionate and confident he could help me and he did!!! Surgery went smoothly and so did recovery.A few years later opel ended up with Pyometra (infection in her uterus) he got us in immediately and saved her life.Without him I would have lost my best friend and I’ll always appreciate him! Opel will be 9 this year and is living her best senior life 🩷
Oct 27, 2024 · becca slodkiDr. Coronado is an amazing veterinarian with incredible knowledge. Bilingual capabilities as well. He has cared for our temperamental Labrador/Chow mix for over 6 years now and he is amazing with her, and all other animals that come to him. His office and waiting area are not glamorous, but they are clean and his treatment rooms are spotless and sterile. He is incredibly fair and affordable. He takes time to explain anything you need him to (surgery process, medication specifics, etc). He is not always very punctual (what doctor is?), as he takes extra time with animals as they need him to. The office can be confusing to find at first (it's the last building down the driveway). He has performed emergency surgery on our rescue pup (she had a botched spay when she was a puppy and it became extremely infected 13 years later) and she recovered very quickly, so it is apparent he has a sterile work environment and is a skilled surgeon. He has prolonged her life by at least 1 year at this point by being quick to assess kidney failure and prescribe a new diet/pill regimen.Overall 5 stars for how well he cares for his patients and how compassionate he is to animals.
Mar 26, 2019 · Emily FreemanI’m sad to report business has declined. Nobody answers the phone or returns calls for days, or ever. I used a Friends of Animals certificate. It took him over a month to even book the appt. There were complications with the surgery and after 3 days (of no call backs), I had to go to the emergency vet who said it was a terrible, rushed job. I didn’t get a cone or even any pain meds for the first day my dog came home. My dog was infected greatly and went on 3 other scripts. ER vet could not believe it. I should have known better by the vets behavior leading up to the surgery. I am mad for making the decision to follow through. He used to be an amazing vet, but I don’t think he has the necessary help to continue. He is older now and completely overwhelmed. I will be filing complaints.Do yourself a favor and go to the other local vet that accepts FOA or pay extra for the proper care.
