When considering Cozycroft Pet Hospital, it's helpful to be aware of its distinguishing features and the feedback provided by its clients. These points offer a deeper understanding of the practice's character and operations:
- Accessibility: The hospital is noted for its commitment to accessibility, with a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and toilet, making it easier for all community members to visit.
- Amenities: A toilet is available on-site for customer use.
- Planning: Appointments are recommended to streamline the visit and reduce wait times.
- Pricing: According to a customer review, prices are considered "very fair" and the staff does not push "a lot of extras on you." This suggests a focus on providing essential care without unnecessary costs.
- Staff and Vet Character: Reviews are mixed regarding the staff, with some noting that a few employees "seem like they really couldn't care less." However, the veteranarian is described as "very sweet and seems caring," "awesome," and "very knowledgeable and is very kind." One client mentions that the doctor "loves my dogs like his own."
- Convenience: The hospital is "so close and convenient" for many in the local area, which is a major factor for repeat visits.
It's important to note that customer feedback also includes significant concerns. Several reviews mention the facility being "disgustingly filthy" and "filthy." One customer's experience with a staff member was particularly negative, citing a comment about the business "not a charity case" and feeling unwelcome after discussing financial hardships. Another highly emotional review describes a "horrid experience" with a pet's euthanasia, including the facility feeling "dirty" and the staff being "cold," leading to "nightmares." These experiences highlight the importance of considering not only the veterinary skill but also the overall environment and staff conduct when choosing a pet hospital.

Choosing a veterinary care provider is a deeply personal decision, and Cozycroft Pet Hospital presents a choice that requires careful consideration. The practice's main appeal lies in its convenient Chatsworth location, its affordable pricing, and its focus on providing basic, no-frills veterinary care. For pet owners on a budget or those seeking straightforward, essential services, this approach may be a good fit. The positive feedback about the primary veterinarian, who is described as kind, caring, and knowledgeable, is a significant plus. The doctor's personal connection to pets, as noted by a client, can be a comforting factor for those entrusting their animals to his care. However, it is crucial for potential clients to weigh these positives against the serious concerns raised in multiple public reviews. The repeated comments about the facility's cleanliness and reports of negative staff interactions are significant issues that could impact a pet owner’s experience and confidence in the practice. While the accessibility features are a definite benefit, the emotional and physical environment of the clinic as described by some clients, particularly in sensitive situations like pet euthanasia, must be taken into account. Ultimately, the decision to choose Cozycroft Pet Hospital will depend on individual priorities—whether the convenience and fair pricing outweigh the notable concerns about cleanliness and staff demeanor. It is a choice between a potentially simple and affordable option and a facility with documented issues that could lead to a less-than-ideal experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Update: I’ve decided to get my dogs prescription at chewy.com because it’s $0.09 a tablet as opposed to $3 at the vet. But they were not responding to requests from chewy to ok the or forward the prescription so I called. The woman at the office told me I had to bring Rudy in for a checkup to get the prescription, even though he was seen 4 times last year for the skin issue. They wanted $70 for the visit and addition fee for the doctor. I explained I’m a 72 yr old senior on a fixed income and in the middle of a pandemic. That the fee she’s asking is an extreme hardship, not to mention my fear of getting sick. I asked if there was possibly a senior discount, or a discount day. I was told that they do not offer any assistance “we are not a charity case” was her exact comment. I told her she was making me choose between getting groceries or paying for an unnecessary vet bill. I asked to have the vet call me, she told me I was no longer welcome there and the vet is very busy and would not call me. “Take your business elsewhere, we don’t want you here anymore” was what she told me.I was in there a recently with my other dog and was shocked to see, in the midst of this health crisis, the place is still disgustingly filthy.I had to have my beloved cat put down, I still have nightmares about the experience there. I’ve had several dogs and cats I’ve had to put down and never had such horrid experience. Besides my feeling the staff being so cold and the facility so dirty, what ever they did was visibly and emotionally disturbing. The vet has always been very nice, but I started doubting his knowledge when both my dog, over the years, with different symptoms, always seemed to had the same over priced medication and treatment.I went there for years because it was recommended by the shelter and they are so close and convenient. But never again, unless there are major changes to address the disturbing issues.Original post: The Veteranarin is very sweet and seems caring but isn’t there often. Services are very basic I thought. Some staff are nice, others seem like they really couldn’t care less. Prices are very fair and they don’t push a lot of extras on you. THE PLACE IS FILTHY so I’m concerned about the filth I might not be able to see.
August 30 · Carol GreenstoneI love this place. The doctor is a little old school but he’s awesome. I take what he says to heart. He seems very knowledgeable and is very kind. He also loves my dogs like his own.
October 06 · Ethan FrankDr. Steve Harther has been seeing our pets for over 2 decades and continues to see our fur babies with the same care today as he did 20+years ago. Susie and Tabitha are always friendly and accommodating for Roxy and Kona. Thank you
May 23 · jas dhillonI took our Rossi for the first time to Cozycroft & I’m so glad I went. My sister in law Jeanne recommended them and the were honest, & it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Other places want you to run so many test and think your a bank. We love our animals but honestly, I feel comfortable being able to rescue animals when there are pet hospitals like Cozycroft♥️ thank you for taking care of Rossi♥️
