Dale City Animal Hospital Reviews
I will NOT recommend any pets owner to choose this clinic for their pets. Made 2 appointments for our cats for Rabies vaccination. We were given a quote which I was agreed upon ($47/Cat). I took a day off from work and drove there. Now since I am in the clinic, there was no better way to make an extra money. They told me they need an exams too which required before the shots. It was $190 extra. I was willing to pay since we were there, a nurse offered me to speak to a manager or doctor to see if they wave that. I was going to pay anyway and letting it go but the way Dr. Drake spoke to me in very rude manner like she did not care about what anyone can think they just care about how to make money from their clients.I wasn’t arguing about what law requires, I was trying to tell that they need to clarify with clients that if you are coming for rabies shots we have to have exam done before going forward. So then it would be up to client whether they want to do or not. Long story short, they need to make sure, they notify the clients up front an extra services and charges before making them come to clinic. Basically they leaving no for us.NOT HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER ALL.

Jun 05, 2025 · Paula DelozaI love everyone at Dale City Animal Hospital, they have taken great care of my teacup yorkie (Brooklyn). Dr. Drake has been so helpful every time Brooklyn has had any issue and always is willing to prescribe the medication she needs at a moment’s notice. The front desk staff are so helpful and attentive. Overall it is a really great vet for your little fur-babies, they truly care. Thank you all for helping Brooklyn this week, so appreciated!
May 01, 2025 · Mary HicksReally good vet but the only reason I didn't get five stars is because they kind of blindsided me with charges without discussing any of it beforehand with me. When they called they just said it was for my dog's annual check up but when I got the bill there were all these vaccinations that I did not approve verbally on the invoice totaling over $400. They were all necessary vaccinations that I would have gotten anyway if they would have told me but it just would have been nice to know ahead of time. I was honestly expecting the bill that day to be $100 maybe $150 at the most.
Apr 22, 2025 · Alex RacioppaI recently went to Dale City Animal Hospital w a foster cat I have. They recently moved and have a new facility which is large, clean and very welcoming. I got an appointment approximately a week or so after I called. The front desk staff was courteous and nice and I was checked in right after arriving. I did wait a little for my appointment but that’s pretty standard for a veterinary office. We saw Dr Drake whom I found to be very informative and was willing to listen to my concerns, which I had a lot of. I really liked the way she seems to summarize her findings and she was gentle and compassionate with my foster who is an older cat who has not had the best life before coming into our rescue. I was very happy with her plan of action and her recommendations. She called me as soon as she had the lab results which I appreciated and gave me an outline of what our next steps should/could be. Again, I found her to be very informative in her explanations and the possible plan of treatment. I was very surprised when my phone rang at 8:15 tonight and showed DCAH. She had received a lab test we were waiting on and had taken time out of her busy day (when she probably just wanted to get home) to let me know the outcome. I thought that was pretty great. All in all, I’m very very pleased with everything at this location and I consider myself to be pretty picky, and Dr Drake is a caring vet whom has a great “bedside” manner, or should I say table side manner 😻. Thank you DCAH and Dr Drake for being so good to my sweet foster boy who deserves the best after his first 12-15 years of life which were not so great.
