Dansville Animal Hospital Reviews
Out of all of our visits here, I've only have one tech and one vet I didn't like. They are more than willing to put in your file that you do not want to see them! They are very accommodating. We were on edge about changing to a different vet office after last years experience, but the vet we had this time was pleasant and we will continue to take our baby here.
Apr 24, 2025 · Christy GAwful experience. I tried getting pricing for spaying my kittens and the receptionist refused to disclose any prices. She said it varies based on weight. They're kittens. How much could it possibly vary? I asked for an estimate as they are only 5 lbs. She refused again. She stated I would first need to be seen for an appointment by the Dr and then they'd let me know. I explained how ridiculous it was to make me come in for unnecessary appointment as both kittens were just seen at a vet for all their shots a couple weeks ago. This place is just a money grab. In the end she said it would likely be over $300 per cat but she wouldn't give me a definite answer. I emailed another local vet and immediately received pricing and a date for the surgery! That's how customer service should be! This place should be ashamed of their deceitful practices. I will be taking my other pets to the new vet also. I refuse to pour money into a place that cares more about money than animals.
Mar 28, 2025 · Lindsey PardeeI'm not sure what happened to this once impeccable vet office.I want to start by saying that this is not directed at the staff, but rather the owner (which I believe is the vet?). Closing an hour early (yes, an hour early) and NOT notifying people who work until 4/4:30 PM and driving 30ish minutes to get there? Insane. If the owners want to be cheap, they can continue to lose patients, because I have other vets surrounding me with just as much compassion for my animals and are closer to home… This place really started going down when they had their staff shake-up...Nothing but disappointment found here.-signed, a displeased dog owner.
May 18, 2025 · Rowan LockeVery poor service at this office . Highly DO NOT recommend. I should have listened to people, buy I decide to give them a try . At first the simple regular checks ups went smooth except for the outrageous prices for them . Then my dog was diagnosed with lime disease but them , ok I'll buy the 400 pills sure . But then.... they started to say she has cancer an u need to do surgery or put her to sleep . Never tested her at all for cancer no blood work or anything . Then refused to retreat her lime disease after the pills failed an said she has no chance an I need to just put her out of suffering. They never did a single test on her an then kicked me out of the office stating I wasn't being friendly. Terrible place , outrageous pricing , they will chastise you for anything wrong . Telling me it's my fault she had cancer now because I never neutered her . Take your animals anywhere but Dansville animal hospital if you want actual treatment an testing an to be spoken to with common decency!
Feb 20, 2025 · Aimee HeindlExpect high fees, work short hour's and no emergency services, poor business policies. Owner does NO community service to local humane societies. Also don't take your pet to the vets that come to Tractor Supply and offer some basic care and decent prices for immunizations, they will drop you as a client.
