Dr. Tammy Wilson quickly and accurately diagnosed a treatable condition, saving the cat's life and improving her quality of life immensely. But the care didn't stop there. When frequent blood tests were needed, and the cat's travel was triggering seizures, Dr. Wilson went above and beyond by making several home visits, even traveling to another city to do so. This level of personalized care is almost unheard of and is a testament to the clinic’s profound commitment to its patients.
The story continues to highlight the extraordinary dedication of the team. Even while on a family vacation, Dr. Wilson checked in with the family. When a sudden crisis arose, the clinic staff, who knew all about the cat's condition, reached out to Dr. Wilson. From a distance, she arranged for the owner to receive necessary medications and monitored the cat’s condition online, stabilizing her throughout the vacation. The message from the client is clear and powerful: "these people care, they really do care." This level of support and professional integrity is what sets Flint Veterinary Clinic apart. August 26 · Clint WadeFlint Veterinary Clinic is that place you wish you'd known about 20 years ago.About a year and a half ago, I took my sweet 14-year-old cat for what I expected to be a sad goodbye. I took my cat's lab results to our first appointment. Dr. Tammy Wilson saw us that day and quickly saw the problem, assured me it was treatable and explained the treatment options and costs. A year and a half later, my cat looks and feels better than she has in years. But that is only half of the story of this little clinic under the pines. In the early days of my cat's illness, she needed frequent blood testing to nail-down her dosage. She's very hard to draw AND car transport began triggering seizures. So Dr. Wilson came to my home (in another city)...several times. Before leaving for a family vacation, Dr. Wilson checked-in with us to be sure all was well, and it was. Until a couple of days into Dr. Wilson's vacation, when my cat went from great to barely there. No way was I going to call Dr. Wilson, so I called the clinic to see if someone could see my cat. The staff knew ALL about my cat and her condition so THEY called Dr. Wilson who arranged for me to pick up and give a bunch of meds,, monitored my cat online and stabilized her...throughout her vacation way far away.My message is that these people care, they really do care. I'm grateful that someone told me about Flint Veterinary; it saved my pet's life. I'm hoping this helps someone ,too.
August 12 · Lisa BWe love Flint Veterinary Clinic. We feel comfortable each time.Dr. Gabriel is the best and takes the time to answer every question we have.We hope to go here for years to come!
August 11 · Kayla EssexMy wife and I brought in our dog Bowser which was suffering from rear leg weakness and an ear infection. The doctor did a thorough examination and gave us prescrptions of antibiotics for an ear infection and steroids for the legs All is good here so far. Bowser is on the mend, however, I had asked for a prescription for injectable B-Complex for which I was denied. She feared I would use too much which I felt like it was simply an excuse, for whatever reasons, to deny me ths benefit for our dog. This may seem petty on my part, but I'm very experienced at giving injections. It wasn't too long ago I didn't need to ask for prescription for B-Complex for it was sold over the counter until lobbyists for the Veterinarians Association convinced Texas legislaters that B-Complex and other drugs were best handled by "experts". This is simply control for profit. Nothing less. Money is more important than compassion, and hold onto your wallet. Vet care IS expensive. Everyone wants to be wealthy professionals these days.
April 30 · Daniel SanfordTook my pet panther, Mr. Whiskers, to Flint Veterinary Clinic, and let me tell you—these folks are absolute professionals. You’d think a 200-pound jungle cat strolling into the waiting room might cause a scene, but the staff didn’t even blink. The veterinarian took one look at Mr. Whiskers lounging across three chairs, chewing on a rubber chew toy that used to be a truck tire, and said, “Alright, let’s take a look.” No fear, no hesitation—just pure veterinary excellence. They gave him a check-up, trimmed his claws (which required welding gloves and possibly a tranquilizer dart—details are fuzzy), and even recommended a diet plan because, apparently, feeding him whole rotisserie chickens daily is “excessive.”By the time we left, Mr. Whiskers was purring like a kitten, and I was convinced these folks could handle anything from a Chihuahua to a full-grown lion. If they can keep my oversized house cat happy, they can handle any pet. Highly recommend!
