The Good Neighbor Vet location in Salem, Oregon, is at 1230 Lancaster Dr SE, Salem, OR 97317, USA. This location is easily accessible for residents of Salem and the surrounding areas. We have designed our clinics with accessibility in mind, featuring a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for all pet owners to get the care their animals need.
To make your visit as smooth as possible, we recommend scheduling an appointment. Our clinics also welcome walk-ins, and we strive to see as many pets as possible during our clinic hours. This flexible approach is part of our commitment to making pet care convenient and readily available. A client review highlights this flexibility, noting, "Great price, friendly staff, and they fit me in quickly without an appointment." We believe that quality care shouldn't come with long waits, and we work hard to provide timely service.
Our professional services are centered on a preventive care model, but we also offer a variety of other services to meet your pet's needs. Our key services include:
Vaccination Clinics: We specialize in vaccinations and offer comprehensive packages for puppies, kittens, and adult dogs and cats. Our vaccinations include core vaccines like rabies and distemper, as well as DAPP and other important boosters. Our "Puppy and Kitten Packages" are designed to give young pets the healthy start they need, including a series of vaccines and deworming. We also perform a complimentary health exam with every visit.
Preventive Health Care: We provide essential preventive treatments to keep your pet healthy, including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and treatments. Our diagnostic testing services include heartworm testing, fecal testing for intestinal parasites, and FELV/FIV testing for cats. We believe in the importance of early detection and regular testing to prevent serious health issues.
Diagnostics and Testing: At our permanent clinic locations, we offer more in-depth exams including diagnostics and testing. We partner with IDEXX laboratories to provide high-quality blood work, urinalysis, and fecal testing. These services help us screen for a variety of conditions, including kidney disease, diabetes, and giardia, allowing for a better understanding of your pet's health on a deeper level.
Microchipping and Identification: We offer microchipping services, a simple and effective way to ensure your pet can be identified if they ever get lost. Microchipping your pet is a crucial step in responsible pet ownership and provides peace of mind.
Limited Immediate Care: While we are not a full-service emergency hospital, we offer immediate care services for non-life-threatening issues such as ear infections, minor skin concerns, and small cuts. This can provide a valuable, affordable option to get your pet the care they need without the high cost and long waits of an emergency vet. Our team can provide a diagnosis and treatment plan for these minor health concerns.
What makes Good Neighbor Vet a standout choice for pet owners in Oregon is our commitment to making high-quality care accessible and affordable. Our mobile clinic model allows us to offer services at a lower price point, as a happy client mentioned after a visit for a puppy abscess: "Great price... I'm thankful I can spend the money that would have gone to an emergency vet or X-rays on toys for her instead." This story highlights our ability to provide essential care and save pet owners from unexpected and high costs. Our team is praised for their friendliness, kindness, and ability to keep anxious pets calm during vaccinations. We provide comprehensive services for healthy pets, from annual exams and blood work to pet meds and parasite prevention, making us a one-stop-shop for routine care.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1There's no direct phone line which makes some things difficult but thank you for trusting me that you guys were the quickest affordable option for treating my puppies cheek abscess. After she had proper pain control I was able to clean the wound and out came a grass seed! I'm thankful I can spend the money that would have gone to an emergency vet or X-rays on toys for her instead while she recovers on the antibiotics and pain meds you guys provided. I'm also glad she didn't have to spend hours waiting for an emergency vet in pain.
July 10 · Agustin and Ashley AlvarengaGreat price, friendly staff, and they fit me in quickly without an appointment. My cat has a lot of anxiety but they were able to keep him calm enough for his vaccinations. 10/10 service and care!
January 24 · Clara JainThere really good, only suggestion would be to give their name to the cars outside four different techs to many hands in the pot, confusion other then that great doctors, very kind to the customers.
December 05 · Dianne WaltersJust another Oregon vet that lies about their pricing and procedures. Their clinic hours are obsurd and their pricing isn't that great especially since they try to add extra fees once you arrive even after you call to confirm pricing before driving an hour to their clinic.
April 17 · Kristen OuelletteGood if you don't want to deal with a regular vet for quick shots but $35 for just nail clipping is ridiculous in Salem OR (Sep. 2022)
