Helping PAW, which stands for "Helping Promote Animal Welfare," was founded in 2010. What started as a mobile clinic has grown into a permanent location in East Meadow, serving Nassau and Suffolk counties. They pride themselves on offering excellent pet care at an economical price, ensuring that financial constraints don't prevent pets from receiving the care they need. This commitment to accessibility and quality has made them an invaluable part of the Long Island pet community.

Jun 15, 2025 · Katherine AyalaI wish I can give helping paw more than 5 stars!! I recently had my cat neutered there and despite the hour long drive it was so worth it. I am impressed. The team is so incredible, you can tell they truly love what they do and care about the animals they treat which is the most important thing. As someone who typically experiences anxiety when visiting a new vet, they put my mind at peace. They go above and beyond to make sure you and your animal have the best experience possible which is so hard to find these qualities nowadays. They took their time to explain every step of the process and answered all my questions and concerns. They’re so welcoming, kind and patient. To show my appreciation I chose to donate some cleaning products. I encourage others to consider either item or monetary donations, as detailed on their website. The affordability of their services combined with the high quality of care, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I am so grateful to have found them 😸🩷
