Hi-Rock Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners across Maryland, particularly those in the picturesque Western region, the bond we share with our animal companions is incredibly strong. Their health and well-being are always a top priority, and finding a veterinary practice that not only offers expert medical care but also genuine compassion is paramount. In Rawlings, MD, Hi-Rock Animal Hospital stands as a vital resource for the local community, committed to providing comprehensive and attentive care for your beloved pets.
Hi-Rock Animal Hospital positions itself as a full-service veterinary facility dedicated to the health of dogs and cats. They strive to create an environment where both pets and their owners feel like a part of the Hi-Rock Animal Hospital family. This commitment extends beyond medical treatments to fostering long-term relationships built on trust and understanding. They aim to be your partner in your pet's health journey, offering a range of services designed to keep your animals healthy, happy, and thriving throughout their lives. Their mission is clearly stated: "to provide the highest quality service to our clients and the highest quality care to our patients."
Client experiences, while varied, often highlight the professional and knowledgeable approach of the staff. One satisfied client, the Gustafsons, noted, "The Gustafsons are very good with my pets. I have had no problem getting an appointment. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and not too expensive." This positive feedback underscores key aspects of a desirable veterinary practice: good bedside manner, accessibility, expertise, and fair pricing. Such attributes are highly valued by pet owners in Maryland seeking reliable care for their furry family members.
However, it is important to acknowledge that like any service provider, experiences can differ. One review described a distressing situation involving an emergency and dissatisfaction with the response received. While the clinic clarified that "Animal Hospital" can be a misnomer for facilities not equipped for 24/7 emergencies, this particular incident underscores the critical importance of clear communication regarding emergency protocols and available services, especially for pet owners in distress. It highlights that while Hi-Rock provides comprehensive routine and urgent care during business hours, it is prudent for pet owners to understand their emergency capabilities for after-hours situations and plan accordingly with emergency vet referrals.

Hi-Rock Animal Hospital Reviews
The Gustafsons are very good with my pets. I have had no problem getting an appointment. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and not too expensive.
Jun 17, 2025 · Teresa StaggsI was in dire need of a vet last summer. I had been taking my dog there for 6 years at the time. I stopped there early AM for help as my dog ate a pound of raisins and raisins are deadly for dogs.He acted like he didn't know me, lied to my face and told me he just works there and no one would be in until 9:30. He told me I had to take it to an emergency vet. I asked if knew where one was. No was the reply. I assumed that was lie #2.All this while I'm in the parking lot talking to him mind you. He wouldn't even look in my dogs direction.I hope I live long enough to see you in need of help and watch karma bite you in the ass, Sir.Dad must be proud....To your rebuttal,Fair enough, so the name Animal "Hospital" is a misnomer. I get it.I also got 2 of the 4 people I recommended to your "Hospital" to seek other veterinarians. I can take solace in the fact you will most likely run the other 2 off on your own.Oh, the dogs fine, I burnt her esophagus with too much Hydrogen Peroxide making her vomit. Finally someone saw her and treated that. That was a question I wanted to ask BTW. I knew about the H2O2, I just didn't know how much. The fact you wouldn't even talk to me, well it speaks for itself.I don't know what happened to you guys, but I'm kinda sad about it.I'm no veterinarian myself, but I know a horses ass when I see one.Good day sir....
Feb 17, 2025 · T DUBI had my five-month-old kitten spayed at Hi-Rock AnimalHospital, and I have been very satisfied with the experience thus far. The veterinarians were friendly, and the procedure went smoothly. I was impressed by the small and clean incision, which has been healing quickly and well. My kitten was able to move around pretty well the very next morning and has had a relatively easy recovery, considering she just had surgery. To me, this indicates the skill, experience, and compassion of the veterinary team. I truly appreciate their gentle and attentive care of my sweet kitten. Thank you!
Nov 02, 2024 · Cali Girl in WVI called for appointment and it was made for same day without waiting. Very efficient and great to talk with vets. Took good care of my little furbaby girl.
Sep 08, 2021 · Kimberly YoungI had one appointment with my cat with them. The two men were friendly. But I honestly don't think they did a thorough exam with him. They didn't use a stethoscope on him. It was my cats first vet appointment. He was little. They didn't do anything for his fleas. Just told me to use cotton swabs for his ear mites. It was a 30 minute drive anyways. I guess they are convenient if you live in the area. I think they weigh my cat, but didn't say in pounds so I had no clue. They only charged me $70 bucks for only one vaccine. You can get a vet visit as soon as you can with them. I just feel like they were lack luster, in my honest opinion. I felt like their opinion only matter. Thats just how it felt in the room with them.
