Highland Veterinary Clinic Reviews
We made an appointment for our old sick dog to be seen and laid to rest. The staff was overwhelmingly supportive, empathetic, and accommodating. They gave us and our old friend so much grace and comfort in what was one of our hardest moments. I cannot recommend this team enough.
May 12, 2025 · James BuckeyI recently switched to this vet clinic from another clinic and they have been amazing! The staff has been great and the vets have been very attentive and loving to my dogs. One of my dogs had a terrible ear infection recently and our previous vet only offered appointments a week out and suggested I go to urgent care/a pet hospital. I called here and they were able to get him in that day (offering a few different times), do his cytology, and get him on the appropriate standard of care treatment. They have also been great with helping us get all of his necessary vaccinations and exams for upcoming boarding while we are traveling. They are very willing to work with you and find times to get your animals seen in a timely fashion which is huge for us with our busy schedules. They have also been very affordable! I am very thankful that we were able to find them!

Jul 01, 2025 · akela imarii had several issues with this clinic, but the thing that made me never go back was when they sent me home without enough medication, made me pay for the additional meds so i could finish the course of treatment, and when i questioned why i had to pay again when it's their fault for not giving me enough meds in the first place, was told i must have been "squeezing the bottle too hard" (it was ear drops). i have worked in animal care, including vet med, for about a decade, i know how to administer ear drops... there was simply not enough medication dispensed. the receptionist laughed at me as well when i asked why i was being charged for their mistake. my other big issue is that they would not allow me into the building with my pets because they're "renovating". if it's safe for pets and staff inside, it's safe for customers. i think they just did not want me to see them manhandle my dog, who is anxious and doesn't do well without me. they would drag her inside then bring her back out panting with bloodshot eyes. she gets cytopoint (allergy injection) and she would always be bloody where they injected her. i now give her cytopoint myself and she has never bled. i can only assume she was struggling extremely hard and they were rough with her because an SQ injection should not be bleeding. she bled from her vaccines from here sometimes as well. the vet refused my request for anxiety meds for my extremely neurotic, ex-feral cat who has endured a lot of trauma, and also misdiagnosed his ocd/self harm behavior as an ear infection. he ended up getting a urinary blockage from stress, needed an unblocking procedure followed by an invasive and painful PU surgery, a week hospitalized, over two months in a cone, all could have been avoided if they had agreed to medicate him. i once picked up flea/tick meds from here, and was charged $80 more than the listed price in their online store, even though i had called and asked if it was the same price in person as online and was told yes. i only bought these from them in the first place because they refused to approve my chewy order and insisted i buy from their store. the hours are also really inconvenient, and the longer i went here the shorter the hours got. im guessing this is due to understaffing because they are constantly hiring on indeed (for very low wages). they are also overpriced. since i work in vet med, i know what the costs are for various medications and supplies, and i also know what they are paying their employees because they post it online, their business costs do not line up with how severely their services are marked up. and just to get crap service, have your pet misdiagnosed and manhandled, and get talked down to. more than once they sent me home without any discharge instructions. i can't recommend this place at all. it's been a year since i stopped going here and it's taken me this long to write this review because whenever i think about it i get too angry.
