Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California Introduce
For pet owners in Southern California facing the difficult decision of saying goodbye to a beloved companion, Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California offers a compassionate and private alternative to a stressful trip to a veterinary clinic. This service is a mobile veterinarian, specializing exclusively in end-of-life care, including pet euthanasia, hospice care, and cremation. Their mission is to provide a peaceful, dignified, and pain-free passing for pets in the familiar comfort of their own home, surrounded by their family. The service is a valuable resource for pet parents seeking to minimize their pet’s anxiety and ensure their final moments are serene and full of love. The team is dedicated to guiding families through this emotional process with empathy, patience, and professional care.
The feedback from clients, while mixed, sheds light on the deeply personal nature of their service. One client shared a "phenomenal" experience, praising the doctor and her assistant for their "peaceful, thoughtful, patient and kind" interactions. The client was particularly reassured when their dog, who suffered from anxiety, was immediately comfortable with the team, noting that the dog "sniffed them then went and laid back down on his bed." This personal trust is a cornerstone of the service they aim to provide. The client also appreciated how the doctor explained "each step of the process" and allowed them to make decisions at their own pace. Another reviewer, who described their sweet old dog's passing, was "grateful" to have found the service to guide them through an "extremely difficult decision." They were deeply touched by the compassion and kindness of the staff, and the thoughtful aftercare, which included the hand delivery of their pet’s cremains on a Sunday. This client’s words, "I could not have asked for anything better for my dear, most beloved, sweet old Obie," perfectly capture the profound comfort the service can provide.
However, another client's review from June 2025 presents a starkly different and painful experience. They described the vet as "frigid and insensitive," and felt the process was "totally rushing the situation." The client was "inconsolable" after being left with an image they "will NEVER forget," and felt the company was "clearly about the money." This review highlights a significant and concerning inconsistency in the level of care and empathy provided, demonstrating the crucial importance of a vet's personal approach during such a sensitive time. It serves as a powerful reminder for prospective clients to inquire about the specific veterinarian who will be providing the service and to be prepared to advocate for their needs during this difficult process.
---While the service is primarily mobile, their main office is located at 360 E First St #109 in Tustin, CA, which serves as a central hub for their operations. This location is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, and toilet. Since this is a mobile service, the convenience for clients is in the fact that the veterinarian comes directly to their home, eliminating the need to transport a suffering pet to a clinic. This is a crucial advantage for animals who are in pain, suffer from anxiety, or have mobility issues. As appointments are recommended, clients can call to discuss their needs and schedule a visit that works for their family’s timeline. The company's focus on house calls means they serve not only Tustin but the entire Southern California region, providing comfort and care across a wide geographic area.

---Choosing Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California is a decision to prioritize your pet's comfort and your family's emotional well-being during one of the most difficult times imaginable. The primary reason for choosing a service like this is to give your pet the gift of a peaceful and stress-free passing in the place where they feel safest and most loved—their own home. The personal anecdotes from clients who had a positive experience highlight the immense value of a compassionate and patient veterinarian who is sensitive to the gravity of the moment. The peace of mind that comes from knowing a beloved companion passed without the anxiety of a car ride or a cold clinic is a priceless final act of love.
However, the negative review serves as a crucial warning to be a vigilant consumer, even in times of emotional distress. It underscores that while the service concept is invaluable, the quality of the experience is heavily dependent on the specific veterinarian who arrives at your home. The discrepancies in professionalism and empathy can make a huge difference in how a family remembers their pet's last moments. It is worth noting that the company handles both the euthanasia and cremation, which can simplify a complex process for a grieving family. While the provided information mentions this is a "veterinarian," its exclusive specialization in end-of-life care sets it apart from a traditional clinic. For a pet owner in Southern California, Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California offers a much-needed and specialized service, but it is one where careful communication and setting clear expectations with the specific staff member are paramount to ensuring a final farewell that is as compassionate and gentle as your pet's life deserved.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The doctor and her assistant did an absolutely phenomenal job helping both humans and my dear old dog through this process. From the moment the doctor called me to let me know she was on her way; every interaction was peaceful, thoughtful, patient and kind. The assistant was equally calm and both of them immediately ensured my dog was comfortable. He suffered from anxiety and could read people VERY well; so, it was absolutely reassuring that he sniffed them then went and laid back down on his bed. The doctor did an excellent job in explaining each step of the process and allowing us to make the decision of when to proceed each step of the way. The kind disposition of both of the ladies speaks volumes to their true care and concern for the animals they see. I have never been a trustworthy person when it comes to my beloved pets; but I was completely comfortable with all Home Pet Euthanasia employees throughout this process. It cannot be understated how comfortable my sweet old dog, my husband and I were. This was an extremely difficult decision to make, and I am grateful that I found At Home Pet Euthanasia to guide us through it all. Their website is very nice, organized and provides ample information. Each of the employees I spoke with were equally compassionate and kind. The doctor and her assistant- I will remember them as long as I live. I could not have asked for anything better for my dear, most beloved, sweet old Obie. His cremains were also hand delivered on a Sunday by the company and every aspect of that was also kindly handled with care and patience. I miss Obie every day, but I am grateful in his final moments he was in his home, on his bed, with his family and the wonderful people at Home Pet Euthanasia.
May 23 · Stacie JeffersonIf I could give this place zero stars I would. We had their service scheduled for a Saturday at 2:30. They called Friday evening and asked if they could move the time up to 1:00. Taking 1.5 hours away from my last moments with our beloved little boy. Then, on Saturday, the day of the service, Dr. Julie called and asked if she could come a half hour early at 12:30! To be nice we agreed.Dr. Julie arrived and was the most frigid and insensitive vet I have EVER met! She starts of course by taking payment (which was a process because she had to use my WI-FI and get the password for it). She also asked for donations of unwanted items. Keep in mind we are beside ourselves with grief already. Then she administers a sedative and went into my kitchen to sit on a mat on the floor while she waited for the shot to take effect. She kept calling out every 30 seconds to ask if he was asleep yet and to put a dark cloth over his eyes and don’t “stimulate” him until the shot kicks in! She was totally rushing the situation! My wife and I are crying out eyes out and beyond pissed at her! She then barges in and gives him another dose of sedative (it looked like a lot too!).Then after he is asleep she administers the lethal dose, goes and gets a basket, puts my little boy in it and then asks to use the bathroom! The nerve! While I had to sit there, completely inconsolable, with his lifeless body, eyes open and all. An image I will NEVER forget! The whole time she was completely unsympathetic and cold. She never once even pet Manny. A true executioner.Needless to say this was a horrible experience and we strongly urge everyone to NEVER use this service! If you do use them then DO NOT get Julie! My wife and I are sick from how terrible this experience was. Not how we wanted to say goodbye to our little boy.To make all of the above worse, the company sends his death certificate and an invoice in an email! No “sorry for your loss” or anything! This company sucks and is clearly about the money (it was $895 for Saturday service and cremation).
February 26 · Chad AdamsMy sweet sphynx cat Lucy was in heart failure, when it was her time, we were recommended Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California. I can’t compliment this company enough. From the very first call to let them know her passing was impending, the lady we spoke to was wonderful. She gave us all the information we needed and walked us through everything. When the day came, our vet was prompt and on time, I think his name was Daniel. He was outstanding, incredibly empathetic, he was gentle and took good care of our Lucy. He answered all of our questions, ran us through the process and made us comfortable. He gave us options, let us hold her, and let us pick her favorite spot in the house. It was very clear that he valued our comfort as well as our kitty’s. He and the company has made this process a lot less stressful. Thank you!
June 26 · Libby LibertoHome pet euthanasia made the absolutely awful loss of our beloved dog a little bit easier. We called them around 6pm, on a Thursday and made an appointment with the doctor for the following morning at 9am. Dr Daniel was right on time, incredibly kind, and gave us time to say goodbye every step of the way. He explained what was going to happen after each step, and even let us keep saying goodbye even after when we were down at the car. We chose individual cremation with a fur clipping and received both within about 2 weeks of saying goodbye. The box with his remains is beautiful and it was delivered to our local vet so the whole process was easy. I'm so grateful that we got to say goodbye at home and would recommend home pet euthanasia to anyone who needs to put a pet down
June 30 · Kate LawsonI'm so thankful to Dr. Daniel and Home Pet Euthanasia of Southern California for their gentle, kind, and loving care they took in euthanizing our Ed. Ed was such a wonderful part of our family and he deserved to pass on peacefully and with the love of his family. Dr. Daniel and HPEOSC were exactly the team we needed to help us get through this very difficult day and I would recommend them to anyone struggling with the tough process of laying their fur baby to rest. They were compassionate and caring from the very first call through the end of the process, and I'm positive we made the best for choice for our Ed and in using their services. We miss our big boy Ed so much
