★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I brought a long time 85yr elderly client there with her dog. Dr was lovely and I could tell he loves the animals and has a good demeanor with clients, great communication. His technician was friendly enough and made good eye contact with a smile. Wish she were able to meet us up front.I'm going to be very honest here...My only concern really is that the front desk were not particularly friendly in their greetings. I got a basic whos this? Can you weigh her? I weighed the dog( no big deal I guess). My BIGGEST CONCERN...is they had her stand waiting at the counter while they got her paperwork together and billed her out instead of explaining it will be a few minutes and offering her to take a seat so THEY can get up and bring her the paperwork. It was painful for her and she took a seat mid way. I prompted the receptionist if its going to be a minute, let her know so she can stay seated. She looked at me, said nothing and my elderly lady proceeded to try to stand for a second time.Nobody opened the door for her as I pulled up the car to collect her, I saw her with her walker struggling to push the door open and it closed back on her. This is a SAFETY CONCERN. I threw the car in park and raced to the door to help her.I asked her if she got a friendly goodbye or a smile and she said no. She was also surprised by the front desk service today.Exam room wonderful! Dr and tech very kind.Front desk was oblivious and seemed uninterested. Please consider upgrading greetings to the elderly. Stop making them stand for long periods and offer to hold the door especially if they have a walker or cane. Ty 😊Side note: I live in Kenosha and have dogs but poor customer service to a loyal client put me off becoming a client here. 😞
August 28 · Sara BlackMy cat Charlie had been a patient here for the last few years. Up until this last month, it was an okay experience. My cat was considered a senior, 10 years old, and relatively healthy. On February 6th we took him for his annual exam and rabis shot, with concerns of his breathing and coughing fits he was having. The Dr listened to his heart and lungs and said everything "sounded good". No x rays were requested, no further tests, nothing. So we took him home, his coughing fits still happening. last Saturday, I began to worry, as they increased in both sound and time. I made the decision to take him to the closest animal ER vet, WVRC in Kenosha. Expecting them to do x rays and tell me he had asthma, I was stunned to hear he had severe cancer beyond the point of medicating. His lungs were full of white splotches, with little to no visible lung tissue. I then had to make the hardest decision to put down my best friend of 10 years, after expecting to leave with an inhaler or medicine, due to the lack of care, consideration, and thoroughness of Kenosha Animal Hospital. We also bring our dog here and she will not be returning. Please do not bring your animals here; they lack compassion and medical skills needed to ensure proper care for your pets. If I had caught Charlie's cancer sooner, I may have been able to save him.
March 25 · Dippy SauceCould not thank Dr. Carlisle and his team enough! I brought my dog in and she ended up needing emergency surgery. The team rearranged their schedules in order to perform this life saving surgery and staffed after hours to make sure she recovered and wasn’t alone. This team really goes above and beyond for their patients and their families!
July 24 · Michelle TerwallI found this sweet baby girl and took her to Kenosha animal hospital. I love this veterinary clinic. They are very friendly and have a heart. I found her on Thursday they were able to get her in on Saturday. I’ve taken all of my pets here. All the doctors and staff are incredible. They have compassion and have a heart. I found them about 2 years ago I had some pets put down they were very compassionate towards my pet and my feelings. I also have brought my dogs here. I highly recommend them to anybody. The prices are very fare. I went to other clinics around here like prairie side vet and roegner. They are all about the money. . And didn’t care. Kenosha animal hospital is not about the money but you and your pet. Thank you Shirley . Thompson.
September 03 · Shirley ThompsonIf I could leave no stars, I would. I had originally brought my newly adopted 4 year old cocker spaniel to this vet after I got him from the humane society. He already was diagnosed with anxiety and put on trazodone in the WHS. At his first vet visit, I had spoken with the doctor about switching his anxiety meds once his ran out because it wasn’t working for him. Once his meds ran out, I called this vet maybe 6 times trying to speak with a doctor about medication and everytime I was told someone would call me back. Finally around 5pm once I got off work at the end of November, I come home and my dog is violently shaking, using the restroom everywhere, and panting non stop. I take him to the vet and explain that I’ve been trying to get ahold of them and what’s going on with my dog. The front desk staff was very judgmental towards me and rude and finally the doctor walks to the waiting room and hands me gabapentin and fluoxetine. Mind you, cocker spaniels are already genetically susceptible and prone to tremors and seizures. About 3 weeks into the fluoxetine, my dogs starts to have weird episodes of locking up and freezing; little did I know they were seizures. I stopped the fluoxetine right away. Fast forward a month he was doing fine off the fluoxetine and not having any seizures and his anxiety was still there just not that bad. But then his anxiety started to get very bad again, so I contacted the Vet again, asking to put him on a different medication or at least a lower dosage and I explained what was happening. They clearly ignored my request and told me the meds were ready for pick up. I go to pick the meds up, and they prescribed me the same exact meds and dosage. So I start giving that to my dog again, and only 2 weeks later he has a life ending seizure. On Saturday night, February 1st, 2024, he had about a 4 minute seizure where he was convulsing and drooling out of his mouth. The closest emergency vet to me was WVRC WAUKESHA and that’s about an hour away. The whole car ride over he was violently shaking, and little did I know that he was seizing the whole car ride. Once we got to WVRC, they tried administering anxiety meds to see if that would work but it didn’t. So they gave him a seizure med, which worked right away. At that moment there was no way to tell how severe the brain swelling was and if it was crushing his brain stem or not. Left untreated that could’ve led to cardiac arrest. So, given the length of the seizure and the uncertainty of his condition, I had to make the heart-breaking, devastating decision to lay him to rest. I thank God for the staff at WVRC Waukesha because they were so compassionate, caring, and welcoming; everything Kenosha Animal Hospital is not. So moral of this story, if Kenosha animal hospital would have listened to my complaints then my dog would still be by my side and I’d be able to manage his seizures with the proper medication. Do not take your pets here, there are much better places.
