The primary reason it is worth choosing is its specialization and affordability. By focusing on a limited, but essential, set of services—vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite control—the clinic can provide these services at a lower cost than a traditional full-service veterinary hospital. This makes crucial preventative care more accessible to a wider range of pet owners in the community. The convenience of its location inside a Petco store also adds significant value, allowing you to combine your pet’s health check-up with your regular shopping. The clinic’s commitment to excellent handling of pets, as noted in a review, provides reassurance that your pet will be treated with care and kindness. However, it is also important for clients to be aware of the clinic’s operational model. As one customer noted, the streamlined nature means that handling paperwork and specific issues might require proactive follow-up through designated channels. This is not a place for complex medical consultations or a holistic vet-patient relationship, but rather a highly effective, specialized service. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Was only given a 1-year rabies vaccination after giving them the paperwork for previous vaccinations as requested. Called their customer service, they gave me another number to call. This rep referred me back to the original number. Wouldn't give me anyone to fix it. Check your paperwork before you leave. Even at the clinic, I wasn't allowed to speak with the vet. Roped off.Update: I stopped in on my own at the Racine Petco during a vaccination clinic. In person, they helped fix our paperwork.Very friendly and helpful. Wish I could have gotten that direction when I called and saved some frustration.
April 08 · Samuel JohnsonMy puppy was handled with excellent care
May 13 · Candy FrisonVery quick and efficient . Took great care of my Zoe.
August 21 · Karen HoyerVetco has vaccine packages that can't be beat. For the same vaccines given in a private veterinary clinic, it's between $100-$150 cheaper to go to Vetco. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable, and even though they say they don't give medical examinations, they do give a basic physical to determine whether your pet is healthy enough to receive the vaccines they need to administer. The Vetco staff are very accommodating and I feel very comfortable bringing both of our little dogs to Vetco for vaccines.
