Phillipsburg Veterinary Clinic Reviews
The vet is NOT a friendly person. I brought in my dog just now for his first appointment. The vet saw him and looked at him as if he was some kind of alien. I get it, He’s a BIG dog. 95 lbs. but seemed like he wanted nothing to do with us from the beginning. He asked me what we were here for (which I had explained over the phone when booking appointment) and I told him there is something going on with his anal gland. He put his hands up as if he was signaling “nope. Not doing it” Then the sweet receptionist said no it’ll be too much for us. It’s just us 2. They should have asked how big my dog was when booking the appointment. I told them he’s a German Shepard over the phone. I also asked for a muzzle to be 100% sure nothing would happen. The receptionist was so sweet. But the vet seems to about had it with his job. Get into a new career then. Customer service sucks here. Customers will pay more to be treated kindly. Don’t recommend this vet. And to the receptionist, you seem like a great person and thank you for being kind.
Jun 01, 2024 · Meagan AlvarezOur outdoor cat got into a fight and needed minor medical care. Everywhere in the surrounding area was booked / not taking new patients and Phillipsburg Vet got us in immediately without raking us over the coals financially. Thanks again!
Oct 28, 2024 · WHISKEYfx _I have been to this practice several times and have referred people to this Vet They felt he was a real old time Vet that genuinely knows what he is doing. If you want the big practices that care only about padding the bill then go elsewhere. I want my pet treated and n their way. I trust and will continue to go to this practice and Cindy is lovely and always tries to get me in when I need an appt. I travel over an hour and 1/2 and am very happy 🐾🐾🐾
Mar 11, 2024 · Jeanne OatesI had to put my beloved pet to sleep I felt a cold total lack of empathy from the Dr that administered the injections. I feel so guilty that I gave my loved pet that kind of good bye. He came in did not even introduce himself with a very bad energy. They administer the sedative and he right away said that he needed a shot in the heart. I insisted to stay and they said you can stay as long as you need 10 min he rushed in and said he had to take himI feel so stupid and guilty for not fighting back and stay as long as I needed. This is what they charge $386I’m devastated for choosing themPlease do your do diligence in this matters
Jan 25, 2024 · Adita IglesiasI had a disappointing experience at this veterinarian's office. During my visit, I felt that my cat's examination was rushed and superficial. The veterinarian barely examined my cat, merely laying two hands on her to feel her heartbeat before abruptly ending the exam. Despite bringing in paperwork about my cat's previous shots from the rescue shelter, the vet didn't bother to review it or provide guidance on necessary vaccinations. When I mentioned having her rabies shot records, he didn't even take a look and dismissively said 'if you say so.' As a young graduate student, I felt patronized and belittled, as if my concerns and knowledge didn't matter. I inquired about the possibility of ear mites, and he initially glanced at her ears without finding anything. It took my insistence for him to properly examine her ears with a light, revealing debris common with ear mites. This experience left me dissatisfied and convinced that this place does not prioritize the well-being of animals. I would not recommend this veterinarian to anyone who genuinely cares for their pets.
