Wow - this establishment is hands down, the best veterinary office in the city !! My poor Scootchie had heat stroke and was on his death bed but Dr Lee with her compassion and expert knowledge, helped him recover at a remarkable rate. Also, the whole staff was great. Your loving animal will know the quality of their service and expertise. Thanks guys !! Scootchie thanks you too !!
Jun 17, 2025 · Michael DemetriousI got my rats spayed here and I was very happy with the whole process from start to finish. Dr. Sands was extremely patient with my girls during the initial exam (and given how ridiculous rats can be, that is a huge accomplishment) and was very thorough. She was transparent regarding the pricing, which I appreciated because exotic vet care is not a cheap thing. The manager helped me make some financial arrangements which was a huuuuge deal for me because it allowed me to get all three surgeries done at the same time instead of having to wait months to work up the funds. I feel like this office tries to work with you when they can.Karen at the front desk was very helpful with my arrangements and has the coolest hair.Sarah absolutely won my heart by emailing me pictures of my babies while they were in the hospital overnight. I was afraid my girls would be panicking during their entire stay (they are rats, after all) so it was very comforting to see them resting and having a snack.
May 06, 2025 · Klara ShandI had an amazing experience here today! I brought my budgies in for a nail trimming, and the entire visit was fantastic. The staff was super friendly, fun, and incredibly helpful, making both me and my birds feel at ease. The doctor was so nice and gentle with my little ones, ensuring they were comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I was also really impressed with how much knowledge the doctor shared with me about my birds' care. I left with tons of useful tips on how to properly take care of them. The whole appointment was quick, easy, and stress-free. I'll definitely be returning for all my future bird care needs!
Mar 06, 2025 · Murriya AhmedAfter noticing a very grumpy faced and crouching Ludwig we immediately assumed he had GI issues. All staff were very sweet to our boy! The surgery was thankfully successful!!He is doing amazing!
Jun 11, 2025 · Emily LeeI'm so very upset and sad that this place didn't even call to see how our gloster canary Lloyd is after they supposedly cut his nail too short. Well that I understand can happen but they did not cut the nail too short they cut his toe and hurt the other 2 toes on same foot. Been a month and my poor bird is not able to use his both feet at all. Hoping he recovers soon but not looking so good. They had us pay $78 prior to bringing our baby out too which was insane. The next day when I uncovered Lloyd I thought he was dead. Covered in blood and on bottom of cage. Called their after hours line and left message. Still at 9am no phone call even after they opened. I called and the girl says it's the dr who determines what is truly a urgent message?! I told the woman receptionist what happened the day before and she processed to tell me they were all booked up!!!!??? I couldn't believe it!!! I demanded they see him and well when my husband and I got him there the male dr basically said it's a canary and there's nothing we can do all while he had a smirk on his face. I haven't contacted them after again because I am utterly disgusted with how a vet place can lie then charge you for hurting ny bird then basically say sorry nothing to do to help. Thank god Mark Marone from Parrots of the World told me a wonderful vet Crawford animal hospital in Lynbrook who saw Lloyd and confirmed that the cut toe off and possibly even glued it on. Others toes fractured and gave us a antibiotic to help Lloyd from getting infected. I NEVER write reviews let along a bad one but I would never suggest to anyone to bring their bird here. I will be also going further more with action. I am not even mad about the money I had to spend with seeing a vet to help my baby but I am beyond upset with how Long Island Bird and Exotics handled the whole situation. Don't bring your bird!
