Dedication to Pet Well-being: Clients feel that the team "truly love animals and go above and beyond to ensure their well-being," which builds significant trust and confidence in their care.
Areas for Customer Service Improvement: One review highlights significant concerns regarding administrative and pharmacy practices. Issues included being "immediately accused of failing to pay for a medication" that was never picked up, an abrupt "ban from the clinic" without proper notice (e.g., no direct mail/email/text, just a voicemail and generic newsletters), and questions about internal pharmacy safeguards regarding medication dispensing without payment or ID verification. This specific feedback points to a need for potential internal review of communication protocols, billing procedures, and pharmacy security to ensure consistent client satisfaction and prevent future misunderstandings or errors.
Client Loyalty & Past Payment Reliability: The frustrated client noted a history of being a "responsible customer" who "paid every past bill without issue, including a surprise >$1,000 charge for an X-ray" without complaint. This suggests that, for many clients, the clinic has historically provided services that warranted loyal patronage, emphasizing the impact of any service discrepancies.

Mar 27, 2025 · EllaI recently called to schedule an appointment for my dog, only to be immediately accused of failing to pay for a medication (from October or November 2024) that we never even picked up. When I pointed this out, I was suddenly told it was “above the caller’s pay grade”—yet it wasn’t above their pay grade to inform me that we were banned from the clinic over a charge we never received proper notice for.I checked my records and found one voicemail from November, along with several generic email newsletters. No letter, no direct email, no text message—just an abrupt ban over a $37 charge for medication we never received.I know for a fact we didn’t pick it up because:1. We still have half a bottle of Trazodone from our previous vet (pictured below).2. I remember the conversation—when the prescription was called in, I asked my boyfriend to pick it up, and later that week, he admitted he forgot. Since we had leftover medication, I decided not to bother. So why are we being penalized for a medication that was never in our possession? More importantly, how does your pharmacy process allow medications to leave the building without payment or proper verification? At every other visit, I’ve paid hundreds—sometimes over $1,000—immediately at the front desk before leaving. I didn’t even know it was possible to walk out without paying. How did this happen? Did someone else pick it up? Was it misflagged? If this was a clerical error, that’s a serious issue. If someone actually took the medication, that’s an even bigger problem. Are customers really allowed to just walk in and claim a prescription without any ID or payment? What if it had been a controlled substance? If I walked in and guessed a dog’s name—“Fido Smith picking up Tramadol”—would you just hand it over? This entire situation could have been handled differently. Instead of immediately banning a long-time customer, why not say, “Hey, we have an outstanding charge—can we go over this?” Instead, I was told I was banned for “lack of payment.”It’s frustrating to be treated this way after being a responsible customer. We paid every past bill without issue, including a surprise >$1,000 charge for an X-ray that was initially estimated as “on the lower side.” We didn’t argue, we didn’t ask for a payment plan—we just paid it.I refuse to work with a clinic that has such careless pharmacy practices, no safeguards to prevent false charges, and staff who assume the worst of their clients. At the very least, send a written notice before banning a paying customer.A disappointing way to end a relationship with a vet I trusted.
Mar 08, 2025 · Shen VelveetaWe have been coming to see this team since 2014. We have 6 pets and they take such great care with each of them. My baby 2 yr old Jazz loves them, doesn't get barky or nervous like he did at another location. I attribute that to the family feel of all the Vet Techs, Assistants, and Doctors. The team is treated well demonstrated by employee longevity and overall friendliness that comes from being happy working.I wish they had after hours urgent care so that I don't have to go anywhere else!Loyal Family Vet is the best.Photo: Jazz
Feb 20, 2024 · Tammy FossThis is an honest review of a recent surgery experience for our senior dog.We are not a new patient and we have been coming here for 4 years and spent at least $10k+ of dollars here. Our dog recently had a neck mass and we have brought him here for check up and bloodwork and scheduled a surgery to remove the mass. On the surgery day, we got a call from the vet telling us they found his many teeth are infected as well as an ORAL mess. The doctor then asked us if we wanted to have his teeth extracted and oral mass removed (and biopsy). At first we declined the request due to we wanted to bring him for a dental specialist for a second opinion. But then we called back thinking it would be not bad if the diseased teeth can be addressed the same time since he is under anesthesia, and of course that means higher cost. Therefore we called back and agreed to extract his teeth and declined the ORAL(not neck) mass removal and biopsy. When we picked up our dog, we noticed the neck mass was NOT removed but 9 teeth were extracted during the surgery. So we asked the priority treatment was the neck mass and why it is not removed. Dr. Hirota said we agreed not to remove the neck mass over the phone. However, we only told her not to remove the oral mass and no biopsy. The neck mass is a big concern to us(broke 4 times at home before the surgery). After some arguments, Dr. Hirota said she can't communicate to me due to my attitude and "yelling" at her and asked us to transfer to another vet for the neck mass. I was shocked, because I was only talking a bit loud due to extremely frustration and helpless. I wish they have camera recordings on this. Imagine after seeing your beloved family member continue suffering the pain by the neck mass, the doctor does not try to help but pushes you to another vet. All we can do now is to schedule and pay for another procedure and let our dog suffer with the tumor for 3 more weeks. We feel helpless and can only post this review here. Hope you all find our review helpful and find a right place for your loving pets.
