★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I trust them with all my animals. I have been bringing my cats and dogs here since 1985. I have had excellent care for each pet. Dr. Siggy Mayer is my go to doctor. Now his daughter, Dr. Megan Mayer, is there also and is excellent as well.
July 28 · Roi-Lynne HulinMSAH in Kenner I location is where I always go . Christy and Amanda G are great! Dr. Siggy is the best! Would not go anywhere else!
August 25 · Wendy O'BrienDo NOT bring your pets to Metairie Small Animal Hospital. I took my Turkish Angora in for a bath and grooming with sedation, and the experience was an absolute nightmare. They couldn’t even fully sedate her and didn’t bother to notify me, leaving her in distress. They bathed her in her own urine, which is not only unhygienic but downright disgusting. The grooming was a disaster—her trim was butchered and they had the nerve to call it a “sanitary cut.” To top it off, I was mischarged for services I didn’t receive. When I tried to address the issue, Samantha was rude and dismissive, offering zero solutions, just a weak excuse that they “did their best.” I then called to speak with a supervisor at another location, and not only was my first call completely ignored, but the second call was disconnected. This place is unprofessional, unsanitary, and completely untrustworthy. Don’t make the mistake of sending your pets here—I certainly won’t be back.
April 04 · Candace GurleyDr. Allison was wonderful as always. However, the tech, Amanda Bowden, was absolutely HORRID. If you want the best for your beloved pet make sure to request that Amanda Bowden is NOT part of your animal’s care. She was visibly aggravated when our elderly dog (blind and deaf!) was not complying with her restraint. She was overly rough with her and did not care to show ANY bedside manners (rolling eyes, no apologies or any words of encouragement, etc.). In addition, the muzzle she put on was too tight and left marks on our dogs snout. I hope this will be addressed for the sake of future patients.
August 07 · Claire DantinA few years ago this vet was FANTASTIC! I’m not sure when or why things changed & this place became so expensive ($275 annual visit regularly became totals of $750 for a senior dog & $500 for a young dog both under 20 pounds) they saw my senior dog 10/8 on 10/22 I went to ask for medication to help my dog with some of the issues discussed at visit since non medication routes were not working and was told that I would have to pay for my dog to be seen again by a different vet because the one who was treating him on the 8th was on vacation.. so I’m assuming they didn’t take notes on the numerous things they charged me for
