Michiana Animal Rehabilitation Services Introduce
For pet owners in Indiana, seeing your beloved companion struggle with mobility issues, recover from surgery, or manage the pain of chronic conditions can be heartbreaking. The good news is that just like humans, animals can benefit from specialized physical rehabilitation to improve their quality of life. In Middlebury, IN, Michiana Animal Rehabilitation Services (MARS) stands out as a premier destination for exactly this kind of specialized care. Unlike a traditional veterinary clinic that focuses on general medicine, MARS is a unique facility dedicated to helping pets regain strength, manage pain, and recover from injuries or surgical procedures. Their approach is rooted in compassion and a deep understanding of veterinary physical rehabilitation, making them a crucial resource for pet parents across the region.
MARS is a specialized center, not a general practice, and their expertise shines through in every aspect of their service. The team, including the vet and staff, is described by clients as "absolutely wonderful." They take the time needed for assessments and to answer all questions, ensuring that no one feels rushed. This patient, unhurried approach is particularly important for animals in pain or distress. MARS works with a variety of patients, from dogs recovering from cruciate ligament surgery to senior cats with arthritis. They also have a unique capability to handle less common cases, such as the 6-week-old calf mentioned in a review, showcasing their professionalism and genuine care for a "non-typical client." Their services are designed to complement the primary medical care a pet receives from their referring veterinarian, creating a seamless and comprehensive treatment plan. This collaborative model ensures that your pet's rehabilitation is integrated with their overall health management, leading to better long-term outcomes.
Located in Middlebury, IN, Michiana Animal Rehabilitation Services is conveniently situated at 515 E Warren St, Middlebury, IN 46540, USA. July 14 · Janice MooreWe visited the team at MARS and they were great. We had a 6 week old calf that was facing some challenges and the team jumped right in. The professionalism, kindness and genuine care for a non-typical client was outstanding.
March 29 · Adam COur dog Scout had a torn CCL. We decided to take a chance and had her evaluated here. They provided us with a lot of good information and suggestions and were so kind during a stressful time! We started Scout on a muscle supplement they recommended and it helped so much and she loves it! We also did laser and water treadmill therapy which helped keep movement and prevent atrophy in her bad leg and also helped keep her good leg strong. We did decide to have TPLO surgery and therapy before and after her surgery helped her heal so fast. She has done extremely well. She’s now all healed and is back to her old self. Ally and Lauren especially were so great with her and usually took the first few minutes of each visit just cuddling with Scout! They really love animals and work well with them. Would recommend to anyone!!P.s Scout misses you Ally!
February 28 · Mabel QuinnBlu started rehab therapy today. We discussed our options on proceeding with what we think will work best for her. I was highly impressed! They had it noted that she is on raw food and had dehydrated liver treats ready for her, and just overall the experience was great! I look forward to getting her to where she may be more comfortable and on the road to gaining muscle and healing! Chunky was super tired as mom waited for lunch after..
November 28 · Allie GingerichThe staff is amazing. They did a very thorough evaluation of my German shepherds legs. They gave me recommendations, and let me decide what avenue to try first. Highly recommended.
