Efficiency and Convenience: The clinic offers same-day appointments, a huge benefit for unexpected health concerns. A glowing review praised their efficiency, noting that an online booking was made at 2 AM for an 8:30 AM appointment and the pet was seen within minutes of arrival. The seamless process of getting records from another vet and receiving a swift diagnosis and treatment plan is a significant highlight.
Modern Technology: The clinic uses modern tools like an online booking system and a convenient app, as mentioned in a customer review. They also utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, including digital X-rays and ultrasound, which are crucial for accurate and rapid diagnosis.
Comfort and Hospitality: The waiting area provides amenities like coffee and water, creating a more comfortable atmosphere for anxious pet owners. This small but important detail contributes to a more pleasant experience.

For residents of Washington, choosing Northgate Veterinary Clinic is a decision based on a blend of convenience, comprehensive care, and advanced capabilities. The positive reviews highlight a clear commitment to efficiency and transparency, from the quick scheduling process to the clear explanation of fees and treatment plans. This is particularly valuable for pet owners facing urgent situations, where a fast and effective response is critical. The clinic's ability to seamlessly transfer records and provide a diagnosis with a treatment plan in a short amount of time, as described in one review, showcases their operational excellence.
However, it's also important for potential clients to be aware of the full spectrum of experiences. While one review praises the compassionate and efficient care, another raises serious concerns about professionalism and empathy. This second review describes a deeply upsetting experience where a client felt unfairly judged and denied care based on a misinterpretation of their demeanor. This highlights a critical aspect of customer service and pet care: the importance of empathy and understanding that every individual interacts differently. The review brings up important points about the need for service providers to be aware of diverse personality types, including those who may be shy, reserved, or neurodivergent.
Ultimately, the clinic’s strengths lie in its comprehensive medical services, technological integration, and commitment to accessible urgent care. The range of services, from routine check-ups to advanced orthopedic surgery, means that this clinic can serve as a long-term partner in your pet’s health. While the negative review points to an unfortunate lapse in interpersonal communication, the positive review demonstrates the clinic’s potential for providing exceptional, life-saving care in a professional and timely manner. As with any service, it's worth considering all facets of the provided information to make the best choice for your pet and your family.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This vet is so convenient, caring, and efficient! My cavapoo sustained an eye injury last night from a tennis ball at the dog park. It worsened around 2am. I found Northgate Veterinary from a Google search, and based on information on their website on their services and reviews, booked an appointment online for 8:30am (6 hours after booking). They got records from our normal vet as we were arriving. The staff and Dr. Lee were so kind and thorough. We waited for less than 5 minutes in the waiting room before being seen by the vet tech Nora. Dr. Lee was in immediately and checked Cecilia and addressed our concerns and gave us a treatment plan we were confident in and all in less than half an hour including exam and dispensing medicine. They were transparent with their very fair fees. They emailed and texted appointment reminders before we came in and immediately emailed records when we were done. They offer coffee and water in the waiting room. They also have a super convenient app.It epitomized excellent service and care!
August 14 · Kaley KI was unjustly labeled "rude" for not smiling, subsequently denied care, and had my character misrepresented. This conduct is unprofessional and disrespectful. As a naturally shy and reserved individual, my demeanor should not be misconstrued as rudeness. I made no offensive remarks. My quiet disposition is part of my personality, not a sign of disrespect. Judging and labeling me negatively based solely on a lack of outward cheerfulness is unfair and disheartening. Empathetic care providers would inquire if something was wrong, rather than making harsh judgments. When I attempted to explain I was not being rude and clarify my personality—stressing that assuming a customer's character is poor service—I was denied care. This is unacceptable. Everyone deserves respectful treatment; denying essential services due to a misinterpretation of character is a severe lapse in professional conduct.Furthermore, I invested significant time traveling to the office and waiting for nearly an hour for care, which was disregarded. The veterinary doctor, without meeting me or seeking my side, blindly accepted the lab technician's false claims and denied care for my cat. Another nurse confirmed the lab technician falsely reported I was "dismissive" of her questions, which is untrue. I answered all questions thoroughly, and they have records of my responses. I even brought a detailed folder of my cat's medical records to ensure they had all necessary information. This incident is particularly alarming given that a neutral facial expression does not equate to rudeness, and I was genuinely shocked by the lab technician's accusation. It is especially concerning as some individuals, including those who are shy, autistic or socially anxious, can naturally present as calm, quiet or reserved. To be reprimanded or denied care based on such a misinterpretation shows a profound lack of empathy and emotional intelligence. This experience was deeply hurtful. Service providers must recognize diverse forms of expression; a reserved disposition does not equate to rudeness. I urge Northgate Veterinary Clinic to prevent similar discriminatory judgments and denials of service from occurring again.
June 30 · R SMy partner and I brought our 7yo Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix to Northgate Veterinary Clinic a few months ago, when our dog seemed to be experiencing breathing problems. The staff here were able to see her quickly, and without an appointment, and put us at ease that our dog’s perceived breathing issues were actually a minor matter - “reverse sneezing” - that would soon pass, and they were correct in this assessment. It’s also commendable that the clinic was fully staffed, despite the fact that snow was coming down heavily, and it was nighttime. Other professionals might have just stayed home due to difficult weather, but the people here were present and focused on their work. We also appreciate that the clinic opted not to charge us, since we were in and out rather quickly and our dog turned out to be fine.
April 07 · Nathan StueveTook my dog to get spayed, requested the laser surgery, and received confirmation that they would. Turns out they did not and went scalpel method, and when I addressed the issue, there was no follow up on their end. While the procedure itself seems to have gone ok, I cannot trust them to carry out services requested/agreed upon, nor take ownership for their mistakes. Will not recommend.
August 09 · Ryan FaaseeWe’ve been going to Northgate Vet for a few years now, and it truly does not get any better than Dr. Phillips and the whole team. He is so caring, thorough, and supportive. I have never felt so confident about my cats’ health. Everyone at the front desk and all the vet techs have been amazing as well. This place is incredible!
