May 23 · Sondra EsquedaDon't let them blow you off when you have concerns. Blood work clear of elevated white blood cells is not the end all be all. My dog had a raging UTI and they treated the symptoms, watched his kidney function get worse, and never dug deeper than "no elevated white blood cells so it can't be an infection." For months. My concerns about incontinence was met with them throwing medication so he can hold it better at me and that made it worse and I had to discontinue the medication they swore would be neutral. I asked them point blank if they thought it was going to be a problem and they said take the medication, and it made it worse. I asked about a urinalysis or an ultrasound. They refused. He's old and it's just chronic. Wound up at Banfield in the Chino Spectrum the next day with the fresh blood work. They addressed all my concerns and actually did the urinalysis. He had a raging UTI and was pissing clear. Even with antibiotics, my dog only survived two months after that. He took a decline and had to be euthanized just after the new year. I have no doubt in my mind that if they had bothered to dig deeper beyond "well it can't be an infection his white blood cell is normal" and telling me a seven year old dog (large as he was) being incontinent was purely age related. They milked him for monthly blood work and watched his kidneys get worse and tried to sell me that there couldn't possibly be an outside cause.Additionally the guy vet was very rude when I brought in my kitten and very pushy about shots. My kitten came from the shelter and had already had his three rounds of shots and he was like no he still needs another round of shots and we'll give it to him here. I got the impression he hadn't even read the paperwork I filled out. Like he was insisting that the cat wasn't fully vaccinated and I'm like my guy they gave him a round of shots when he was in their care and then I went back with him for shots twice. His paperwork shows him getting all of his shots including rabies. I asked to only see the lady vet from then on.The lady was the one who handled everything for my dog, and she's the one I had initially trusted before she point blank refused to do any further testing when I directly asked about a urinalysis or ultrasound, saying "He's just old and it's chronic." She also didn't always seem to take certain concerns seriously when it came to my roommate's cat. I was with her in the exam room with her cat, and I watched her need to remind the vet of other concerns, or ask one of the other staff to check something the vet failed to.The staff there are good and friendly. My dog, who could sometimes be apprehensive around certain environments and strangers, really liked one of the ladies there. She did really good baby talk, such that my dog tracked her going past the exam room even when he was back with me. Environment was always clean. The main reason I still give them two stars after all this is because I feel like they did my Maltese with heart failure well. My experience with my late gsd mix and the kittens left me questioning why they're even vets in the first place. They will never see my new dog. I'd rather face down the emergency vet where my gsd mix was euthanized before I ever step foot in here again.Edit: You charged me 300 dollars a month to watch him die. Don't you dare make it sound like it's just normal difficulty with illness and death. I walked with Muffin for over a year in her terminal heart failure and I was still just a teenager. You made me pay 300 dollars a month to watch Riku die and did nothing further to diagnose the cause. You gave incontinence medication to a dog with a UTI and made things worse because you didn't bother the check, and flat out refused when I asked. "He's old and it's just chronic." Visited Banfield the next day and he has a raging UTI, where you had insisted an infection was utterly impossible. What further can you do? The damage was already done and he's been dead for sixth months. Why bother talking about it?Lowered to 1 star. Response was highly insulting.
August 06 · Alyssa GarciaI've been going here since the previous owners. Over 20 years. They do a great job taking care of my pooches, even my bunnies. They can get them in pretty quick if needed, and they are really affordable. Sometimes, going to the vet, you feel like going to the mechanic. What are they telling you that is needed that you're unaware of that will end up being a huge bill. If I take them in for an exam they get an exam. If I take them in for a possible ear infection, they don't end up telling me they need a new carburetor, lol. This is a great place and the staff is really nice.
May 24 · Rosa GomezGreat customer service, the staff is really patient with my pet, very personalized, and friendly. Thank you for what you do.
June 23 · moon tI have a difficult and expensive 'rescue dog' due to the abuse she sustained early in her life. Getting my baby out of the car and in to the Vet is a traumatic event in and of itself. It comforts me to know I can always count on the office staff's understanding and help. When I leave the Vet's office - 'Nikki' always looks beautiful and well cared for. It is such a comfort to us pet parents. I so appreciate the 'good care' and communication.Thank You Dr. Kimm and staff.
