Our beloved dog is currently at Mountain View getting what I believe to be the best and most caring help around here. Me and my husbands sweet dog is suffering from a very serious impacted colon. From the first phone call I made they were the sweetest people in what seemed like the end of the world to me and my husband. The staff was so welcoming and made sure to provide the reassurance we needed to hear for our pups health. We knew going in it was going to be costly for what needed to be done. They tried their very best to give my pup relief through a smaller budget and even gave us a game plan to go home with to see if my pup’s condition would resolve itself at home with medication. But before leaving the first evening with medication in hand the staff helped me find a third party financial assistance plan that would cover additional care if needed. Sadly we had to return the very next morning with our pup as his condition made no progress with the medication. We opted to have our sweet boy hospitalized to receive round the clock care he needed in this desperate time before he got any worse. The staff was so kind and compassionate towards our situation giving us updates on our pups progress and ensuring he’s doing amazing with them there as he does have separation anxiety. I know my dog is in the best hands possible and I cannot thank Mountain View and there staff enough for all they have done and continue to do for our pup! I would recommend anyone having any serious problems with there pet to come here for care and if your bill is costly make sure to ask staff about third party financial services they accept!
May 24, 2025 · Mackenzie Lane😬 Angel's mom here, and I just wanted to give a little opinion of mine on why I thought it was cruel - and pretty ridiculous to make us wait almost 9 hours before anyone saw Angel.This facility runs on a scale of priority levels for the pets that come in, 3-4 being not important, and 1 very important. The system does make sense, because obviously there is animals coming in that need help more than others.However, Angel was bleeding internally and vomiting up blood. We just got a new puppy and we weren't sure if this was parvo, worms, or maybe a foreign object causing severe bleeding.We wanted to know.So we waited. My husband took Angel into the office, while me and the puppy, and our other dog, sat in the truck. My puppy and other dog weren't allowed in, and I guess I respect the no puppies in waiting room rule, but making a 9 week old puppy and 8 year old dog sit in a hot, humid truck all day and night wasn't very appreciated.To us, Angel is an emergency. I guess they told my husband she wasn't a priority and she'd been bumped to Level 3 while there was only a handful of dogs here at the time.So we waited. And we waited. And we kept being patient, because we understand other animals need more care more than others.But it's been 7 hours at this point, and I say to my husband that it's a little bit nerve-wracking Angel hasn't been evaluated or checked over, considering she was vomiting blood all over our house earlier.The level to determine which dogs need seen first isn't always accurate or fair.I thought it was dumb. But I let my husband explain that Angel wasn't their priority again.And I kept hearing that.That my dog wasn't a priority.She didn't matter at the moment.And she still hasn't mattered and it's been 8 and a half hours.Every new dog that comes in, gets bumped up to be seen, while Angel isn't. Many dogs have now come in, and mine will not be seen anytime soon.And that's what I told my husband was upsetting.At what point does somebody just take a minute to look her over, prescribe her some medication, and then charge us some incredibly high price, and send us on our way?They're basically charging you out the butt to occupy the waiting room.It just got worse the more we waited.Puppy was anxious sitting in a warm car all day, and older dog was anxious because he's not supposed to be sitting in a warm car this long either.It just makes you feel like crud.My Angel baby must not have mattered enough to these people.You want to be compassionate and empathetic to the cause, but when you're left out and your girl is never treated fairly, it's hard to be understanding.Every other animal will become more important than yours, and yours will get knocked back down the totem pole until someone maybe decides she's worth seeing.And you still get charged just for waiting.If you have one vet running around and you know higher priority cases will be coming in, because they call ahead of time, when is time made for my dog?You don't have 15-20 minutes to spare?It's just ridiculous.Make it make some sense please.Update: Several hours in, and she was finally seen. They deduced it was a rib bone cutting up her insides and now they want to do blood work.Now we get to wait another few hours.Yay. Can't wait to see the bill for all this waiting.Thank you guys for making us feel seen and prioritized! 🙄

Assistants checked on us periodically to take vitals from my cat and offer cold water to me. After discharge, they were there to answer questions I had about meds given by a different vet over the weekend. Doctor Vega is amazing, she’s serious but chill, and she’s got the best dog portrait tattoo I’ve ever seen =^.^= Toast is feeling much better today; thank you!
Jun 16, 2025 · Kellen StrosniderMy puppy was injured on Friday evening, and I immediately started calling around to get her seen. One place was at capacity and they referred me to Mountain View. I spoke to a very nice lady who was super patient with me as I was trying to explain what happened without hysterically crying. She explained that they are experiencing long wait times due to staffing issues - I work in healthcare (not vet, but healthcare as a whole is in the same boat) so I completely understand. Everyone I encountered was super nice and caring. Yes, I did wait a significant amount of time, but that was explained and to be expected. My puppy was quickly triaged and I had someone come in during my wait to explain how things were moving along, which was much appreciated. The doctor came in, and she was awesome. Seriously, so awesome. Once we agreed on treatment, I was presented the treatment plan with pricing. She was then taken to another area for treatment and returned to me soon after. I was briefed on after care instructions and medications and we went on our way. She is responding well to the treatment and is acting like her normal self. I hope to never need their services again, but if I ever do, I would absolutely trust Mountain View with my fur babies again.
Jun 23, 2025 · ArianaMy deepest and heartfelt thanks to Mountainview Animal ER. My 11 year old Saint Bernard Alfie was in pain and couldn't walk. It was time to do the right thing for him and help him pass peacefully. They comforted him (and me) getting him out of the car and put us in a room right inside the entrance. I didn't have to wait in a lobby with other people or pets- they took care of everything so my time with him was just him and me. Then the most wonderful staff (I wish I could remember her name, she was so incredibly kind and compassionate) came in with a basket full of the best dog treats that Alfie devoured with a smile on his face.. I will cherish all my life how that made him feel so happy and that the last minutes I had with him were profoundly special. The Dr was amazing too- kind and so compassionate and an outstanding vet. He fell asleep and was at peace. Thank you with all my heart for helping my boy cross the rainbow bridge with love and peace.💖
