★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Hands down the best veterinary clinic I’ve ever been to.I’m still new to the area—about 6 or 7 months in—and finding a vet has been tougher than I expected. Most places weren’t accepting new patients or had long waits. So I was beyond grateful when a nearby clinic (that couldn’t see me for an initial consultation) referred me to Narra Veterinary Clinic… and they got me in that same day. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The space is beautiful and calming, and every single person there was so incredibly kind—not just to me, but to my cat Hurley. They pet him gently, reassured him, and made sure he felt safe the whole time. It was such a relief to see how comfortable he was. They discovered he had allergies (something I never knew cats could get!), and explained everything clearly. They even walked me through what to expect with the medication, including possible changes in his appetite. They were patient, informative, and just genuinely nice people. But what really sets them apart? The next day I got a detailed follow-up email with a personalized PDF—it had a photo of Hurley, a summary of everything discussed, and his care plan laid out perfectly. I’ve never had anything like that from a vet.If you’re looking for compassionate, thorough, professional care in the Tigard/Tualatin area, I can’t recommend Narra Veterinary Clinic enough. This place is more than 5 stars—it’s a gem.
May 23 · Angie NagelSuper Caring Staff & Specialize in Exotic PetsDr. Deena and her staff have been incredibly caring and helpful in the care of our guinea pigs and bearded dragon. We first met Dr. Deena Barrett when she was the only vet able to care for “pocket pets” like our hamsters and guinea pigs as well as our bearded dragon at the previous clinic where she worked. She was thorough in her examination of all of our pets and spent time explaining each of their unique dietary, habitat and care needs. When we learned that Dr. Deena opened her own veterinary practice, we were thrilled to be able to continue getting care for our little furry and scaly friends with her.Her staff are warm, professional and deeply care for all the animals we’ve brought in. Last week we brought our 2 year old guinea pig in when she suddenly stopped eating and became listless. Short of a battery of expensive interventions, it became clear that we needed to euthanize her. My daughters were bawling with grief when Pearl (a staff member) poked her head in the room and asked if she could speak with us. Her words were so compassionate and comforting to my daughters and within a minute or so, there was tangible peace in the room. Pearl has such a gift and way with words and all of the staff there are devoted animal care givers and their compassion comes through. A very sweet touch was when Pearl asked if we’d like her to take paw prints and clips of the hair of the piggy we said goodbye to, for my daughters to remember her by. It meant a lot to us.Fast forward 5 days and we adopted a guinea pig over the weekend as a companion for our existing piggy who lost her sister last week. We brought our new family member in today for an exam by Dr. Deena who was so happy to see that we had found a companion for our other piggy (they are extremely social creatures and need to be with other piggies whenever possible). Her exam was thorough as usual and she offered advice that would help us get her weight up and acclimate to her new home.Their office is clean and well appointed and I appreciate how flexible they are with getting appointments the same day when needed. I only wish their business were more visible from the street with signage that showed them from the busy Hazel Fern Rd. side of the building. They are a bit tucked away but conveniently located next to Whole Foods and Bridgeport Mall.
October 03 · Erin CreaneDr. Deena and her staff are all so kind. Dr. Deena specifically is one of the most thorough and attentive vets I've ever worked with. I know my pup is in great hands! Also, I do not have guinea pigs now but as someone who used to and knows the struggle to find a vet for pocket pets/exotics, I love that Narra takes guineas a patients!
June 29 · Tiffany Taylor LeeDr. Deena is an extraordinary veterinarian, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! She saved our bunny, Snickers, when he was in critical condition, and her expert care and compassion made all the difference. Not only did she save his life, but she has continued to provide the most attentive and loving care for him ever since. Her entire staff is absolutely wonderful as well! They are always kind, professional, and so supportive. It’s clear that everyone in Dr. Deena's office is passionate about providing the best care possible. The team works seamlessly to make every visit smooth and stress-free for both pets and their owners.
January 08 · Kimberly dThe doctor gave my chameleon Jesse too much anesthesia and he passed on! She was totally negligent! He had a simple procedure to remove a lump from his skin. Should not have led to his death! He was happy and healthy before we took him to her. Then she sent him home dead without informing us. We watched him all night waiting for him to breathe. She gave us hope by saying they can go long periods without oxygen. It was bad enough she killed him but then to lie to us about it…so disgusting and unprofessional. We kept watching and hoping he would wake up. Only to realize he had died when he went into rigor mortis! This is so hard. It has been traumatic and devastating. Please be careful with your animal babies! Mistakes happen but there was no accountability. Not even an apology. Jesse was more than a thing. He deserved more dignity than she gave him.
